green lines.. :)
James.D, 01 Oct 2024seemingly not, since you seem to be oblivious to the difference between a refresh rate, and a ... moreBoy, i know rly well what pwm means. Almost all Amoled panels uses PWM dimming, but it depends of screen brightness. Usually on lower brightness PWM should be higher, to prevent eyes strain and headache. Some panels jump from pwm to dc dimming above 50-60-70% of screen brightness, which should help with mentioned problems. Problem is that only safe option os above 3000 pwm dimming, which almost none of them implemented, so people has problem ( not all ofc ). Apple, Samsung and Google are worst here. Chinese manufacturers usually give 1920, 2160 or 3880 pwm, but that most of the time work under 30% of screen brightness. Xiaomi 14 have flicker free option ( DC dimming ), but not suits to everyone. Only totally safe option is LCD screen which uses DC dimming on all screen brightness. Some of them also uses PWM dimming, but it goes above 50.000, which is also totally safe. Currently best eye friendly display is in Poco X4 GT. I don't know how u conclude that i don't know PWM problem, but obviously u are wrong. U can apologize to me if u want, cause u put irrelevant accusation on my comment. PS, i am PWM sensitive, and i can write u 3 pages about this problem!
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2024That makes me wonder: where are the under-display cameras?they could have gone down the UDC route, but the actual shots from UDC cameras are just plain awful, let alone videos.
[deleted post]seemingly not, since you seem to be oblivious to the difference between a refresh rate, and a pulse width modulation rate. I could be reading it wrong, in which case I apologise, but that's how it reads. also, I don't think I've met someone who abbreviates the word 'you' that is knowledgeable enough to even know how PWM works, let alone the nitty-gritty of it.
btw, if you're wondering, most IPS panels use DC dimming, so they avoid PWM altogether. that's why most PWM sensitive people are so pro LCD.
PureOS, 01 Oct 2024I know that. Maybe great LCD like in poco x4 gt with 144hz would be great. ... you don't know what pwm is, do you ...?
Anonymous, 01 Oct 2024Does it have the green line feature which comes after updates. If not then it's waste.exactly, All samsung flagships support that feature.
Phone manufacturers need to stop with the black background wallpapers so we can see the bezels in all their "glory".
Its basically green plus update actually
Does it have the green line feature which comes after updates. If not then it's waste.
YourLocalPhoneCritic, 01 Oct 2024Quad curved >>> Dual-side curved Change my mind! As long as it's flat (with 2.5D edges) then it's good. Everything else is garbage.
This probably will be the most complete flagship in its price category. Will basically have everything with a waterproof rating added from the 12 and I think also an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Just not much change on the cameras from the 12. Camera hardware is good just not top level but that is reasonable given the price. Basically it has similar hardware across all areas as the Oppo Find x8 ultra will have apart from the cameras. The price though will be significantly lower than ultra phones and lower than most pro flagship phones
I'm done with OP
Laggy buggy updates, broken launcher which can't work with icon packs, following stupid trends with the middle punch hole camera and ugly curved screen on which you never able to get a protective glass.
F you, OnePlus
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2024From whom? Chinese brands advertising high pwm in reality have less than 240Hz. I know that. Maybe great LCD like in poco x4 gt with 144hz would be great.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2024Hdr10+ and DV are basically same. One is free ( created by Samsung), the other requires fee.... moreOne is wide adopted, one is used for more premium apps/sites. Apple and Netflix went with DV, everyone else uses HDR10/10+.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2024From whom? Chinese brands advertising high pwm in reality have less than 240Hz. Wrong, there are quite a few above 240 hz. And you don't read that part about bfi and modulation width
