... moreHere I disagree, thicker phone plus case makes it even thicker.
So thin phone plus case will make its size same as regular one, so anyway it is a win, main question is how resistant to bending, if thinner is less resistant then better to make it thicker.

Unless you use a naked phone, phone thickness doesn't matter when you put a case on it.
And I would totally avoid putting Exynos on all Samsung phones, midrange Samsung A-series phones get Mediatek Dimensity.

Every base Samsung flagship is less than 8mm thin with a ~4000mAh battery. They don't compare to Xiaomi 13 or 14 in battery size and longevity. The Xiaomis are 8mm and 8.2mm respectively.
It gets worse when you compare it to a Sony Xperia 5 series with a 5Ah battery and hardware features that Samsung and every other brand took away from their flagships to follow Apple. The Xperia 5 IV is 8.2mm.

Not sure who cares about some mm more than real performance, but they tuned their upgrades, specially in foldables a lot, compared to Chinese brands.
Seems boring.
