But it should not compromise important things like battery. I would love a thin phone, and when you put in a case it becomes like a non thin phone.

I was in awe with S4 (purchased @7500 rs my 1st infinix phone) as front camera was great 32gpxl and it was giving tough competition to redmi note 8.
Jusy the battery optimizations & life needs to be efficient.
Overall i m happy and would purchase the new infinix.
what do you mean by half a decade? some years ago we have moto z which was thinner than this

this is probably personal preference but i prefer a thicker phone (>7.7 mm) because it makes the phone feels more rigid

We have smartphones with umder 6mm before. The Vivo X5max is 5.1mm thick, yet it still manages to have a headphone jack. Smartphone brands, take note.
Do people really care about ultra thin smartphones? I think that 7 ~ 8mm maximum are more than enough, but I wouldn't have problems using one of those brick rugged phones from Ulefone or Oukitel.
What Infinix and other brands should do is find a way to get rid of those horrendous camera modules and huge bumps.
On the other hand, Silion-Carbide batteries are welcome.

Foldables often have issues with heat , tablets don't. Because booky foldables are much thinner.
Even with small camera like 1/2.8" , you would still have cam bump. S6 is thin, nasty bump with a 1/2.6".
The internals need to be resigned. Rumors say "iphone 17 Slim " is more expensive than 17 Pro Max despite being tipped to use single rear cam system and aluminum frame.

I trust infinix, i used to make fun of people who use this or similar brands, but i was wrong. I used one of their midrangers for 2 years ( hot 20s). It was surprisingly very optimised, smooth, and as snappy as a phone could be. Overall a much better user experience than using an iphone xs. The latter overheated alot and was often unusable in that state, freeze/lag/crash ect...
Anyone back to the infinix, i highly recommend this brand. Their optimisation is much better than Samsung and other brands liek Xiaomi. Ram management, battery life and performance was all very good. now i am using a poco x6 pro. Xos on infinix is much better than hyperos.

Last phone I remember doing both was the regular LG G8.

Within the past week its really started to slow down. Like really slowed down! If you didn't think I would hate the snapdragon 695 enough now it's really doing my head in!
Fully agree the Oneplus 12 and 12r seem to be the best this year has had to offer in terms of bang for buck. I would have spent the money on a 12r if it wasn't for the curved screen.
If the rumors are true then hopefully the Oneplus 13 will come out in October with either a flat or a micro curved screen. I just got to hold out for a month or so.
If Motorola would have made the G85 a good phone I would have just picked that up, however Motorola can sod off. The G85 is offensive and an embarrassment to what Motorola used to be even a couple of years back and that 6 Gen 3 is just another rebranded 695!
