Please release ALL COLOURS IN AUS. Not just stupid fake leather back black. It was so infuriating that was the only option to get.
Anonymous, 06 Sep 2024because anyone who ever own a samsung foldable knows how bad it feels to hold a brickWhat do you mean with a brick? The weight, the size, both? Of course it's a question of preference and there's no arguing about that. I prefer something that has more "hold" than things that are thin. The weight is and was never an issue for me. I prefer something that has more heft. I feels more sturdy then thin and lightweight things, again a personal preference.
Quite interesting to skip the 8 Gen 3 and gone to 8 Gen 4 instead. But then again, I don't see much noticeable improvement from 8 Gen 3 compared to 8 Gen 2.
jiyen235, 06 Sep 2024oh wow, disabling base iso is something i've never heard of before, that is extremely wei... moreFor example it starts with 100 on motorola edge 50 pro main cam and zte nubia z60 ultra ultrawide, but at 50 with xiaomi mix flip main cam and vivo v30 main cam

Thanks for the info. It seems manufacturers aren't usually able to extract the most amount of performance from OV sensors. Maybe only Xiaomi was able to do that with the Xiaomi 14 (See juan bagnell's video) and Vivo, Oppo and Oneplus were able to do that with the 64 MP, OV64B I believe, telephoto lens

Wow, already coming with 8 gen 4, that's great. OnePlus Open 2 won't be missing out like when the OnePlus Open released with 8 gen 2 when 8 gen 3 was so close to coming.
DeepIn2U, 05 Sep 2024X200 and Find X8 seemingly will get the 9400+/9400 I think. Oppo Find N5. Please let this ... moreDust resistance doesn't matter at all unless it's IP5 or IP6. IP4 is still too big for actual dust particles, look at the definitions.
Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024Skipping 4 meanwhile using the 8G4. The irony 🤣Surely it's called something else in China. Perhaps 4 is 5. And 5 will be 5 plus.
As I posted in another article the new craze is thin, thinner, thinnest. and the repair-ability will be 0. Of course 0 because then you just need to buy another €1500-2000 device. And since when is a thin device comfortable to hold and use? I have never owned a thin device that was not slippery or awkward to hold and use. Only your pocket is happy but that's about it.

Oppo Find N5. Please let this also have dust resistance! Please!
This will be the foldable to beat for 2025. not for thinness, not for pricing, not for warranty (BUT Oppo already stated this will go Global this year with the Find series - unsure if that means the Find N5 or Find Flip N5 too?
But they're the closest to refined overall self created & maintained software. Their also about the complete package.
PS: I'd LOVE to see Professional lenses able to screw on the circular camera array like a professioal camera on the Find N5, Find X8 Pro, etc like the limited run for the Nubia S50/S60 pro early last year did but only in China.
So so thin.. and then a 1 cm camera bump
Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024There'll be one with ov50xyeah im waiting for it, it sounds like it'll be a cooler but still cheaper alternative like Mediatek's Dimensity 9300. Hope some base flagship level phones like the X200, Find X8, Xiaomi 15/15 Pro or the Oneplus 13 get it.

[deleted post]if there were an Omnivision 1 inch sensor these guys would find a way to say that somehow Open's LYT sensor is better even though it's 70% the size of the 1 incher, and if that argument fails they'll go back to saying that the Exmor T of the 1 V/ VI would somehow beat the 1 incher.
Maximum copium from these pricks.
Finally some rumors about them. Definitely gonna get that if they get intl release
Anonymous, 04 Sep 2024"The company will skip "4" most likely because of tetraphobia" OnePlus... moreProlly because Oppo is more China-orinted than OnePlus idk.
Anonymous, 04 Sep 2024And before anyone replies with "under 220g is ridiculous", the regular vivo X Fold 3... moreI think the only reason they were able to do that is because of the smaller cameras and the lack of ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. So if the N5 is to be like that, they need to do some serious R&D OR just not think of ultrasonic scanners. In any case, I think a 228g phone is likely, a middle ground between the massive sensors of the X Fold3 Pro and the X Fold3, alongside a lack of ultrasonic scanners.
Anonymous, 04 Sep 2024Open has exmor T as main cam. Obviously better than anything honor has oh yeah? the telephoto cam is from omnivision and it's the best sensor on the Open. Watchu gonna do about that? Seriously, you guys eat up every marketing bit.
