Mi9 is great device, but I need to replace battery (and I cant find genuine one) and there are no security updates for a while (year or two) ... that is why I am thinking about Samsung.

I don't hate it. I like how customizable and feature-rich it is. But I expect Chinese phones to come with heavy, feature-rich skins, not Samsung. But now it seems to be going in reverse 🤦.

Eucitizen, 23 Aug 2024Mi9 was their last good phone (I am still using one) but I think that I will switch to S24 Ult... moreUwb- next generation is getting it because of fast connect 7900, better screen-8 bit panel while even much cheaper devices have at least 10-bits and it's also much worse in maintaining brightness as seen by tests even from gsmarena, fingerprint reader- their optical ones are pretty reliable unlike ones of pixel and they're getting ultrasonic in xiaomi 15 series, battery endurance- they're on par in browser test while s24u has 8-bit panel from samsung display and x14u has 12-bit c8 panel from tcl, update duration- x14u has security updates for 5 years

Mi9 was their last good phone (I am still using one) but I think that I will switch to S24 Ultra as Xiaomi 14 Ultra is just overpriced mediocre device. In my country I can buy Samsung for 100 euro less but I get much more - UWB, S-pen, esim, better and brighter screen, 7 years software support, ultrasonic fingerprint reader, better battery endurance ... the only one negative is slow charging.
