earworm, 23 Aug 2024It does. This site and others confirm it.GSMArena specs for many phones are notoriously wrong. And nobody cares about other sites either as they copy/paste each other without checking official manufacturer site:
The only relevant specs are posted by Motorola:
    https://www.motorola.com/we/smartphones-motorola-edge-30-neo/p?skuId=474

    Oh, look:
    Ports
    Type-C & Type-C port (USB 2.0)

Also, if it had USB 3.1 it would have Display Port like every other moto phone with it. Of corse, it doesn't have.

What Motorola has demonstrated is that Edge devices tend to have curved displays. Now they change their minds again 😂

CamoGeko-XDA, 21 Aug 2024What is happening with Motorola? I thought the Edge series was always supposed to have curved ... moreWell it's not the first time (nor the last probably) that Motorola switches from curved to flat and back in it's Edge line-up. Everyone was a bit confused when some of the second gen Edge devices changed from curved to flat screens to change back to curved ones for the third gen. You have to see the word "Edge" as a name for the range (mid range and maybe flagship devices while the "G" series are the upper entry to lower mid range ones) instead of the shape of the screen. Although I think that Motorola did initially intend to refer to the screen shape but parted from it and looked at it as a separate range. Motorola is not the only one who does things like that.

The g85 should have been flat in the first place like 84.

Two Motorola phones in my house (G53J and Edge 20) and they have plenty to like about them, but ultimately I feel the same - would be very hard for me to buy another. The biggest reason is their software support, which has improved a bit for their higher end phones, but is still way below that of their competitors, and even if you do get updates and patches, they are always slow to come. Add to that some quality issues (both of mine suffered fingerprint sensor failure) and very sub-par camera performance (take nice photos but only in perfect light conditions, otherwise hopeless), and they simply don't offer value compared to e.g. the Pixel A series or Nothing phones.

What is happening with Motorola? I thought the Edge series was always supposed to have curved displays, now they're releasing this one with a flat display? While their G series now has curved panels. Like make up your mind Motorola, and start using UFS 4.0 already like the rest of the mid range phones out there. Xiaomi is still easily beating your phones on performance at cheaper prices.
