AMOLED = no buy
You hearmi ?
Techgg, 01 Aug 2024You're behaving like we don't have compact android phonesThere are simply no convincing android phone options. Chinese brands have pathetic aftersales support and questionable privacy. Samsung phones are stuffed with bloatware and overcomplicated features. Google Pixels might bring bugs with each update. Except foldables, I can't really recommend android phones anymore...

Additionally, Scamsun... moreYeah if apple upgrade it to 120hz in next few years, your opinion will change. Same like lcd under 1080p display on Iphone XR few years ago. Everyone defend it and compared it to low budget android devices.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2024People that don't want 6.7 inch screen phones people that prefer apple. Same as those people that prefer for example Xbox over PS, Honda over BMW, Linux over windows etc. etc. What is so hard to understand that you cant compare them, different OS.

The SE should be it's own model design. Not rehashed unused parts, that notch is atrocious

I think as a phone the SE4 will be popular for this reason!!

Because for this price you could get the Galaxy s23 Fe or xiaomi's t series e.g: the 13t ,which have triple and better cameras and more importantly,much bigger batteries.
sure, this might have a more powerful chip but if that's what you're looking for; there are still options like the poco x6 pro,poco F6,the poco F6 pro and even oneplus 11r which offer great performance without compromising battery and cameras like this one does.
I've heard some people say that the reason to buy this, is for apple's ecosystem,but if you are rich enough to buy every single product in apple's ecosystem like their MacBooks,you should also be rich enough to buy higher end iPhones like the iPhone 15 series,so who is this phone for then?
The smart move here would be to undercut the competition.
Break even or even take a loss on profit of the device but you get millions of users who will now be in your ecosystem, then you sell them the subscription services and many of them jump to the regular Iphones next time.
A long game but worth it to crush your competition, and lets face it, if it ends up 300-400$ aint nobody buying Android phones next year

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2024And still the battery life will be much better than your 7.0" Lagdroid flat brick thanks ... more"incredible optimization" LOL thanks for the laugh. do I need to send you the thousands upon thousands of forum posts people make daily on places like macrumors or similar sites of iPhones dying out of nowhere, freezing up, lagging like hell, battery drain, battery swell, charge port failures, etc.? because it's truly something funny to absolutely deny that iOS doesn't have DAILY issues for millions globally.
This will cannibalize the sale of the base Iphone models more than attracting users from Android. Honestly aside from ultra wide what does the base Iphone have over this. At this price point though it's competitors are already using 120 HZ screens, all have ultra wide and main cameras with large sensors. I think the primary attraction will be the robust software support that Apple will give. They should keep the price increase reasonable and price this about at least 100 USD cheaper than Samsung SE or Xiaomi T series.
Anonymous, 31 Jul 2024I love the term "flattened bricks." Unfortunately no one realizes that these flatten... moreIt be at the same size as the standard iPhone with 6.1 inch screen so it wont be so compact as the SE use to be. And for the money i rather get year old S23 over that what is also in the same body size. That SE 2025 will cost more then 1 year old Samsung S23 so there wont be a point for me as like like android more then i do IOS.
Anonymous, 31 Jul 2024Tbh, most Androids‘ SoCs heat up too much for how much slower they perform.I have one of the coldest iphones and it heats up like any crap.
