"no way to disable this double tap to react feature"
People are going to see lots of hearts in their chat history now. Now that I think about it, I haven't used a heart emoticon in my past several years of using whatsapp. And I haven't seen anyone use it either.
What we need is double tap to edit. With current setup the receiver is able to read and reply to the message before I can even start editing my typo.

Been on gbwhatsapp close to a year now. Whatsapp need to have those features early enough so users can stick to the official one more

WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram walk into a bar late at night and order JD, Absolut and Budweiser, resp.
