I've not met anyone with a 2+ year old phone with a hinge problem, but 90% of them all had screen problems. Samsung fold phones are the worst. From real world experience, the screens will give up way earlier than any hinge or other component failure.

Everyone is commenting on the hinge durability.. how many time you ... morefolding phones fold 10x, flip phones flip 80x a day. so, hinge is the most important part of a folding phone. 1 year is not a long timeframe actually. even you had an issue it would be still under warranty. these phones are expensive and supposed to work well for 3-4 years. this means, you will keep using the device without warranty for longer years. any dead pixels after 1 year will cost $500-600 to repair.

Let's be realistic... Everyone is commenting on the hinge durability.. how many time you can fold it.... Etc...
But did you ask yourself if you are going to unfold the phone like 10x a day? Even at 10x a day 1 year you are going to fold it 3650x...
I been using Mix fold 2 for a year odd... No issue at all except some software compatibility issue since the phone only release in china.

A new unit in isolated environment may endure several hundred thousands folds. What these companies miss is real life environmental factors. After 6 months of use, taking 1-2 light drops that might slightly disbalance hinge. Extremely cold temperatures or heat from charging and gaming etc all impact the hinge.

the most important spec of a foldable is not cameras, crease or performance. it is hinge durability. how many folds in actual life can it withstand? we saw motorola advertised 400K and failed after 45k folds last year. I really don't believe the manufacturer numbers. it is a nightmare if, you pay $1500-1700 to a phone and you see dead pixels after the warranty expires.

Foldables seems to be losing a third of their value per year. That's insane if you compare them to regular flagship phones which are losing half that.

Basically you get a 50mp 2x instead of a 10mp 3.2x and the rest of the rear cameras are almost the same. Different main camera but the specs are almost the same. No real upgrades which is disappointing
