A lot of ppl would love to have a dedicated good quality camera, w all the focal lengths as a phone, but they cant afford it, so they have to satisfy their photography needs and creative desires w their smartphone, which they can, but only bc companies like IQOO in this instance was willing to put enough effort in their phone, w-out compromising too much on the affordability
And its not just ab the pixels, bc u can very well notice the difference between an 8 and a 50mp ultrawide
They don't have to go all out ofc w the cameras, bc the focus its not on it w this phone, but they still provided a respectable setup, and that's what counts

If they put a better camera in a gaming-centric phone, that will give the company an excuse to charge much more for the same unit, even if the camera itself didn't cost them more than a Euro. This is an old trick used by companies with all kinds of merchandise, not only phones.

The 50mp sensor wouldn't even cost €10. Also This phone has launched at 2,899rmb for 12gb 256gb. It's just 100rmb (€13) more than the cheapest snapdron 8 Gen 3 at launch (the Realme gt6)

The cameras in all newer phones are perfectly adequate for most usage scenarios.
If you're a serious photographer with pride in your profession, you won't waste your hard owned money on a few pixels in a "camera-phone". A phone will/shall never replace a dedicated camera. It's like a TV replacing a phone. It won't happen in our lifetime. Period.

It will launch in India if IQOO community India shows interest otherwise not. Furthermore, It's gonna be named as IQOO Neo 10 Pro cuz IQOO 12 is already available with 8 Gen 3, why would any company launch same CPU phone in different segment to reduce it's sale when it's successor hasn't even arrived yet !?
