I would be cooler if this was an "underring" - a transparently layered ring - that I can wear under my other ring. I don't have any interest in purchasing something as cheap looking as this.

The pictures in this article seems to reflect or perceive to the reader that the Ring being tested is FAR too big for the wearer that's photographed.
Anonymous, 10 Jul 2024Rated for hundreds of charges??? Sounds suspiciously like future e-waste after 2-4 years. Also... moreAnd yet another mis-informed foolish reply.
3 variables for any battery product:
Capacity
Charge time
battery usage/health/time before drained.
Funny your comment ONLY focuses on Charge Time and battery usage. NOT at ALL its capacity which has a VERY RELEVANT and DIRECT affect on how often or how QUICKLY or NOT the 100's have batteyr cycles will be used in ANY time frame.
Ss, 11 Jul 2024What is the warranty policy and lifespan for this product though? Like most wireless earbuds j... morebarely survive over a year by barely USING the product means the standby battery was drained. Like do you even READ and think about what you've posted at all and realize how clueless you seem?

It is obviously impossible to guess what the timeline is for this ring, as it's a new tech no one knows if it'll stick or flop, it could be a long time or it could be discontinued in a couple years. It should however be beyond any doubt that Samsung always commits to longer software support periods than any mobile competitor. Especially the ones from China.
What is the warranty policy and lifespan for this product though? Like most wireless earbuds just like overprice e-waste when they barely survive after 1 year.
presumably it will download heart rate data into google fit so you can assess the quality of your exercise against the WHO recommendations, but sadly, unless your carry your phone with you for it's GPS, and the samsung health app provides for it, you can't get a VO2 max value, severely limiting it's usefulness for overall health
i'm sceptical of how useful, or accurate, sleeping data is
Useless , 11 Jul 2024 At the gym, I always take off my rings; otherwise, it hurts my fingers when weight lifting. ... moreGood thing also due to overheating these things can blow too, imagine someone loosing a finger.
What is the warranty policy for this ring? If 6 months then it's just another e-waste ala the usual accesories that will probably end up in your drawer broken within 1 year.
HOOM, 11 Jul 2024It's LOL Tech Product, 80 minutes to fully charge for MINI device and only 100 cycles battery it is hundreds, not hundred. if you charge it every 5 days for 500 times, this means more than 6 years
If I only care about fitness tracking, this could be a better buy than the Galaxy Watch. I still can't fathom sleeping with the watch on my wrists. Also, I still need to use the phone to see all the data anyway.

Your not the only person in the world they think of when making a new product
At the gym, I always take off my rings; otherwise, it hurts my fingers when weight lifting. So I can't use a smart ring.

So only monitoring health? Can monitor and trace husbands' and wives' whereabouts?
It would be pretty damn cool if they could set up a snap gesture, so that you can snap your fingers to trigger an action.
Just imagine launching an app or making a phone call with a mere thanos snap.
If you want a useful ring, look up NFC Ring. It never needs a charge and it can unlock your phone, door, transfer information, or make payments. Best part: it's only £15
