Aside from a small crack at the lower bezel and slightly hard volume button, the phone is still in good condition. Battery still holds up to a day of medium use.
IMO, there is no $200 new phone that can match the Mate 20 Pro in photo quality and performance. Not to mention most new phones dont have 3D FaceID and IR blaster, or even its ergonomic placement of fingerprint sensor.
IpsDisplay, 09 Jul 2024A brand new coolpad Cool 50 is about $100+ exported
Do you think this brand new smartphone ... moreWell, that is what I am saying. The Mate 20 Pro is an excellent phone and it is still competitive, thus other phone companies should be ashamed for offering midrange phones that cannot even compete with a six year old flagship phone. The technological advance is not being represented by midrangers. Midrange phones have had telephoto cameras until around 2020. Then they suddenly stopped doing so. Now they bring telephoto back and advertise it as something special. And this is not enough for them, they call the processing algorithm "hyperimage plus (pro ultra extreme ultimate etc etc), though it can't even compete with a six year old algorithm.
So why should one fall for this shit when you can get an old flagship with same performance at the same price, which is also of historical importance since it shocked the whole phone industry and set new standards?

Do you think this brand new smartphone will take better pictures that flagships of old?
You think price equivalence due to depreciation
Is the correct measure to set expectations for technological capabilities?
That mate 20 is STILL competitive to modern flagship smartphones CURRENTLY photography wise

Moreover, it is a shame that after six years midrange phones can't outperform a six year old flagship.
Unfortunately it doesn't use SD 7 gen 3
are these supposed to be impressive!?
xslvrxslwt, 09 Jul 2024nopeDigital chat station confirmed it. And there are also geekbench scores. https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/6753212
The realme 13 pro plus uses snapdragon 7s gen 3 and the realme 13 pro uses snapdragon 7s gen 2
Kirisame, 08 Jul 2024It uses 7s gen 2 😄So as to cut down the cost for people who doesn't paly games and just wanna try out telephoto zoom shots.

With night photography that was almost missing completely with it's flagship piers ..
To a modern day underpowered ISP with a first generation A.I imaging system?
I am not really impressed by the samples. My old Mate 20 Pro from 2018 offers the same night photo quality. Only the main cam short distance shots look better.
good low light performance but unable to capture details and in portraits, the edge detection isn't fine, requires tuning. Overall, not bad for a midrange telephoto centric phone.
The high ISO performance of the telephoto is impressive. More than good enough for compressed uploads to the internet.
