Anonymous, 02 Jul 2024S5 has removable battery and IP67.u really wouldn't dare to submerge it..
AnonD-1153685, 29 Jun 2024only single phone in the world meh and what ip ?40 ?S5 has removable battery and IP67.
AnonD-1153685, 29 Jun 2024sorry u talking nonsense I have phone with 80w since july 2022 and battery is still the samebefore saying other nonsense, how about you showing screenshot, your battery history data
if you use apps like accubattery, it show how much battery mah still have, how many charged
2years phones, with light usage might still holding ~80%+
what the temp when you charge with 80w ?
my phone with 65w charging goes up to around ~38c max (on hot days, depends on ambient temp)
while it still safe range, the battery still lose it capacity faster compared to battery stay around ~30c when charging, i can say ~10% capacity difference within 2-3years of usage, whether worth or not, depends on the person
Anonymous, 30 Jun 2024Its true when I frequently use fast charger on my Xiaomi Redmi 10 its battery just can't ... moreBattery on my S21 die quicker because of fast charger too. It give power quicker, die also quicker. I use charger box included way safer. It’s chemical battery, nothing last except fanboys always think they phone is immortal
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2024Actually cause the battery degrade alot faster is cause by fast charger it generate heat alot.... moreIts true when I frequently use fast charger on my Xiaomi Redmi 10 its battery just can't keep up. Battery drain way quicker after a year, I change battery the repair shop owner said same stuff just avoid using fast charger. After digging more info about battery I decide just use slow charger. Fast charger already good but battery to support it still a long way to go.
AnonD-1153685, 29 Jun 2024sorry u talking nonsense I have phone with 80w since july 2022 and battery is still the sameMaybe it's time for you to learn chemistry. The battery works better in only certain temperature range. The upper limit is 45 degree celsius (113F).
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2024Actually cause the battery degrade alot faster is cause by fast charger it generate heat alot.... moresorry u talking nonsense I have phone with 80w since july 2022 and battery is still the same
RoterDrache, 28 Jun 2024Sony Xperia V LT25i from 2012 had removable plastic back cover and IP Rating. only single phone in the world meh and what ip ?40 ?
Fa14bi, 28 Jun 2024People rarely replace their phone every year, on average, people keep one phone for 3 and a ha... moreu would be surprised how mobile op contracts is 2 years and ppl will accept upgrade
now young's are naive new iphone will release they buy new, new samsung will release they will buy new and sell old
this is the impact of european government amendments. not at all apple doesn't have any idea to implement this
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2024Actually cause the battery degrade alot faster is cause by fast charger it generate heat alot.... moreI also turn off fast charging. Except when I really need to go out for a long time and I wasn't ready, but that only happens maybe once every 3 months. The rest is always scheduled. It's really not that hard, just do other things and your phone is ready.
it's amusing that they are now boldly fixing problems they themselves created in the first place...
if only we could get back Lumia designes it would be awesome -light, easy to replace battery an no need for a protector...
RoterDrache, 28 Jun 2024It's not that difficult to design a smartphone with user replaceable battery. Just loo... moreWe also have 2020 and 2022 versions of the Galaxy S5's ip rating and removable battery and they're made by Samsung too. The Xcover Pro and XCover6 Pro but they're US only.
Anonymous, 28 Jun 2024First they made batteries faster to degrade, then expensive to change, finally they also made ... moreActually cause the battery degrade alot faster is cause by fast charger it generate heat alot. I experience this on my S23+ currently use. First use since release battery just impressive last longer, after half a year I charger the phone pretty much frequent I not sure why battery drain quick. I go samsung official store where I buy it to change battery since it still in warranty, and battery last as first buy. I tell the staff who repair my phone for explanation, he said "ever you use very fast charging?" me said yes. he said don't use it especially third party, battery won't last and battery don't like heat, just use it official charger what it design for. aslo he said whatever its Apple, Samsung, Sony he ever work repair battery, whatever don't use fast charger. It just a cash grab marketing and quick way to kill battery.
So half year after battery replace look ok as it should, I use it official samsung charger, not fast and less heat, I won't ever use fast charger.
I think its true why my older iPhone 7 and Samsung S10 still alive and battery already aging as its old age with old slow charger, while my new S23+ just die quick because of fast charger.
Just stop using glass back and put big pull tab like Chinese phones.
xPandamon, 28 Jun 2024Removing the glue barely changes anything. You still can't replace anything without also ... morethat's for iphone 20, now just buy every iphone from the 15pro max to the 20pro max ultra II
Removing the glue barely changes anything. You still can't replace anything without also replacing the entire glass rear.
AnonD-1153685, 28 Jun 2024Unfortunately no as iP 68 water resistant wouldn't be applied... not even ip 65Sony Xperia V LT25i from 2012 had removable plastic back cover and IP Rating.
It's not that difficult to design a smartphone with user replaceable battery.
Just look at the Nokia N8 or LG G5. So you don't need a detachable back-plate like in old feature phone days.
Btw: since there is always someone in the comments who has concerns regarding IP rating (water protection): the 12 years old Xperia V (LT25i) had a removable back plate and IP rating (ip5). So it's indeed possible to have IP rating and easy to replace battery.
AnonD-1153685, 28 Jun 2024it depends of how many ppl actually want to replace phone batteries ONLY .. I guess not a lot.... morePeople rarely replace their phone every year, on average, people keep one phone for 3 and a half years.
