Anonymous, 26 Jun 2024LCD screens are dying, buy a €100 phone if you want one Wrong. The IPS LCD displays are stuck on a container ship blocking the suez canal. Same problem with the headphone jacks and sd card slots. Just give it some time and you will see more IPS LCD displays hit the market. Just be patient.

Because slapping a Dimensity 7030/7050 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is apparently too hard for Motorola, what a joke, i was half expecting them to downgrade to Snapdragon 680 or something.

mfilipow, 26 Jun 2024I like Motorola a lot, use Edge 30 Pro as my daily driver, plenty Moto Devices in the family a... moreIt's hard to respect a company whose left hand doesn't know what its right hand is doing. The lineup is a complete mess. The premium Edge 30 Fusion still running Android 13, whilst the G84 having received Android 14 months ago is another example of illogical decisions.
Realme is no better. Xiaomi isn't much better, and its consistently poor battery endurance with HyperOS rules it out.
When relatives ask me for recommendations for budget phones, I find myself suggesting the Galaxy A25, A35 and Pixel 7a. Other OEMs are basically allowing Samsung and Google to conquer, just by making moronic decisions.

They want this to compete against the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, which obliterates this phone and is cheaper at the moment. What a joke from Motorola.

No wonder it was quiet, I don't see how this is an upgrade to the g84 in any way really - subjectively a downgrade in some cases. Same specs, has one of those stupid curved displays that went out of fashion 5 years ago and seemingly no headphone jack? Yeah skip this one.

Here in germany the price markup for a55 higher storage is much higher and there are options with better hardware for less price with 256 gb

Where is my excellent IPS LCD display panel type?I agree IPS LCD display technology is far superior to the inferior crap-o-led technology.
Nobody should buy this phone because it uses very cheap and bad technology from yesteryear.
