Cpt.Power, 10 Jun 2024Well aint true. People capable of custom build phones can do wonders. Something Y-shaped attachment
Aierlan, 10 Jun 2024It is already on the Honor magic 6 Rsr porscheNope Magic6 RSR was Leaked to have it but it end up by using "improved H9800 main camera sensor" 🤷♂️
But it worth mentioning that GSMArena in their review said that H9800 is based on OV50K, maybe it's a typo? Who knows
Regardless of the fancy names the 1" omnivision sensor have got leaked several times

People capable of custom build phones can do wonders.
Anonymous, 10 Jun 2024Phone with 1 full frame sensor would never be sold for less than $2500.

They lied to you about price.
All pricing is made by inflation othervise we would have few pennies for everything.

They have a 40 at the end of it but the Xiaomi 15 pro will likely be a customized version of this. It was originally planned to be a 1" type sensor but settled at 1/1.3". The OV50N/X will be 1 inch type and one of those will probably be on the Xiaomi 15 ultra
Anonymous, 10 Jun 2024Many photocameras do not use whole sensor power because large sensors generate too much heat. ... moreSo that's why I think it will be like 10-15 years to even get there. You know what lyt sensors are?
Anonymous, 10 Jun 2024The only way I would see sensor of such size getting into a phone is by someone like omnivisio... moreMany photocameras do not use whole sensor power because large sensors generate too much heat.
This is why you see those videocameras with built-in fans to manage this.
Majority of FF photocameras gonna overheat before 30 min recording, even if low bitrate like 100Mbps.
Huge sensors have too high voltage. And you reduce voltage to use on phones ( like pro-i has sensor of rx100 m7) , you nerf its capabilities.
Enter FF market is not worth from financial point of view to omnivision ( not even samsung).
Vivo and xiaomi do not even have exmor T to avoid costs, imagine using sensors that cost 10, 15, 20x more than imx989.
Imx903 ( iphone 16 pro max) costs 2x more than imx989. And it higher FWC.
It has obligation to offer best photos of 2024 phones, but sharpening and ugly colors gonna ruin it again.
Imx882 aka lyt600 is behind 3.2x lens, but not periscope style .

Nick Tegrataker, 10 Jun 2024No, there isn't.So a true phablet phone in terms of width?
Cpt.Power, 10 Jun 2024Well they can blow afloat the phone.
For me having a phone thick as Oukitel WP33 pro or more ... morePhone with 1 full frame sensor would never be sold for less than $2500.
Sensor alone ( lets suppose an old one used by sony A7iii , uncapable of 10bit videos nor more than 19fps photo burst) costs more than entire hardware of those €1500 flagships.
bizxc, 10 Jun 2024wdym. what's worng with this one? It's not as powerful as the Xiaomi 16 Pro.

Nick Tegrataker, 10 Jun 2024No, there isn't.Cpt.Power mentioned 2 or 3 inch sensors. We may need metamaterial lenses for smaller size.
