If it launches at the 350 the U23 Pro currently is available for then it might stand a chance, but if it launches at 500 (what the U23 Pro actually launched at) then I can't imagine it'll get any traction. Xiaomi, BBK, Samsung and Nothing all offer better specs and better software support at the same price or less (when a company won't tell you how long you'll get updates, that's always bad).
It's another phone banking solely on the headphone jack without realising that the rest of the phone still has to be good for the phone to get anywhere. And that's a shame, because while dongles and wireless have far outstayed their welcome at this point, no manufacturer in their right mind is going to bring it back when the only phones that have them are overpriced marketing exercises like this.
HTC is making the exact same mistakes of both Sony and Asus, and the biggest loser is the customer. If it had an 8 Gen 2 (being last gen it's more obtainable) then it might have been worth the money.

Its a pretty device and quite snappy too. Id why people complained about HTC sense when its a pretty light skin compared to anything Samsung.
I hope for their proper return with a proper designed phone made in their own factories. No more Foxconn nonsense, please.

Used to love HTC, blackberry and Sony back in the early 2010s, their quality was unmatched at their primes.Now htc is a ghost, blackberry is dead and Sony isn't even trying.
