Anonymous, 10 May 2024How about stop wanting to have control over tsmc and improve own semicon tech? That's the fear of US and Taiwan but it's opposite, China just wants to develop their chips inventions for their domestic development and for the world as a whole
It doesn't matter to less powerful other chip companies since you don't have to begg them like if you don't agree there terms they stop supplying chips ban using a certain os and what now they developed this even after all this now they saying mine are more powerful so what it is just a phone not like you are going to the mars. You will only use it for calling some chat mail net surfing and some pics nothing more. A super computer doesn't neded everywhere.a very proud moment for huawi and also for the Chinese ppl. Well done huawei

Good ones:
- The CPU IPC is really good
- The thermals are decent
- DUV is not awful and there might be new limits
Bad ones:
- The CPU clock frequency is taken in care to improve
- A510 is old, still, no longer useful with the new standards
- GPU is a massive joke. Is the same of the previous one.

At flagship the majority of users don't care because they already understand the capabilities of the device. This also applies to premium cars, weapons, luxury homes, etc.
bulbulito.bayagbag, 09 May 2024The performance of that chip is way behind what current flagships have. But in my experience of heavy usage of Kirin 9000s chipset combined with the 16gb LPDDR5 Dram, the phone is exceptionally good.
Anonymous, 09 May 2024For that performance level the asking price is way too steep.Specifications are not everything. In my experience, Kirin 9000s is enough for heavy smartphone usage.
Anonymous, 09 May 2024Amazing that a capitalist country is the one acting all communist on a communist country. 😂You're very observant.
Here's another fun observation. The "capitalist" country is acting communist and the "communist" country is acting capitalist.
Which is the winning strategy? 😁 Time will tell.

But I value their existance greatly. I want them to create the best stuff they can and as they see fit. That'll make the stuff I DO buy even better because it has to compete.
Same thing with Huawei. Even if you'd never buy it, appreciate what's going on here. Without competition we'd still be using old tech, regardless if you bought the product or not.
These are exciting times! 😎
Huawei P70 Pro +

So easy to buy from someone and use contract to silence the supplier.
So they can claim it is in-house.
H will be rebranding omnivision sensors in the future.
The more the US sanctions Huawei the more Huawei is forced to make its own parts, which in turn will make Huawei a dangerous competitor to Apple/Samsung in the future. If they just let Huawei use US components they will be not much different from Xiaomi or OnePlus.
The US is really screwinf themselves over by doing this, sanctions will only delay (or maybe even speed up) the inevitable
Regardless of what the West puts in of sticks in the Chinas wheels then why would China not get there eventually.
Amazing that a capitalist country is the one acting all communist on a communist country. 😂
