Amazfit is supposed to be a budget brand. $299 is not cheap. Makes me think the Samsung ring is going to be $350 minimum.

It depends on whether they use a subscription model to access desirable features.
OTOH I look at something that costs $300 one time and wonder how a company can survive without some type of ongoing subscription based revenue. Who wants to buy into something destined to fail?

Amazfit smartwatch sensors are one if the worst sensors in terms of accuracy. How do they claim unparalleled tracking for athletes? If they were so good at fitness, we would have seen it with their existing products

I've never used anything so disappointing as Galaxy Watch. Maybe Tizen variants were any better, but WearOS one (GW4) is just garbage. Clumsy, unreliable, slow and just annoying to use.
