US: "China may collect US user data from TikTok".
So US knows how social media apps collect user data! what about FB, Instagram, Google, Microsoft then??
Anonymous, 24 Apr 2024TikTok stores all their data in the US and hasn't broken any US laws. And if dumbing dow... moreSo if things are stored on US based servers, it's safe and cannot be copied to any other server abroad? That's a bit simplistic to believe that. But again, it's just that the US wants to be the ruler of the world and, in their minds, would solely be allowed to perform spionage on a corporate level. They're as bad as the assholes from the CCP. And when I say assholes I don't mean the normal people who just want to live their lives as good as possible. I mean the same kind of people as in the dark corridors of the US gouvernement but then in a different building somewhere in China. The power hungry people. All a bunch of crap.

Modi government banning tikrok was a political move. They banned not 1 but 59 apps in first lot, all chinese. Can you explain why fb wasn't banned when it is the top candidate of privacy invading apps.

The US is missing out on all the juicy data Tiktok is getting. And the revenue since apparently there are Tiktok stores in the app. I don't use Tiktok btw.

US Senator asked TikTok CEO about his ties to the CCP when he is a Singaporean and lives in Singapore. Can't imagine questions from the Indian government are any better.

i do not care about tiktok however I do not support any US company to be the new owner of tiktok, why should the revenue go to them ?

Want to see your certified sources/public video of such interrogation.
I honestly think users should be able to do what they want, You want to watch 5 second videos for 2 hours a day and have the Chinese possibly harvesting your data? Ok cool. You want to uninstall all the bloat like Facebook that came with your nearly $1K phone? Ok cool. These big companies should just let the users be and not interfere.

No other country apart from the US thinks TikTok is a national security threat. It's also the highest grossing app in the US and the US is trying to steal it from Bytedance.
You seriously think facebook, ig and reels are better than TikTok at not invading your privacy?

For the whole society on earth, the planet we love, it really doesn't matter if Tiktok is banned in the US. Hopefully the US people know what a VPN is. The problem is if the US succeeds in forcing Bytedance to sell the US branch of Tiktok, to the US. Because it will make the US dollar stronger when many countries dedollarize. Of course this is bad news if this happens.
I give zero f**** about TikTok or any other social media platform for that matter, but...
US: "China is a communist country. They are full of censorship. Wah Wah!"

AnonD-1147675, 24 Apr 2024And Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit aren't?Compared in handling fake news report? FB, Twitter, and Reddit are better. That's why they are blocked in China.. You love TikTok? LOL
