Anonymous, 17 Apr 2024📸 flagships not midrangers even the s20 series are not getting it This OneUI 6.1 update on S-series is to bring out the Galaxy A.I. features - BUT I AM disappointed at s(h)amsung for not bringing ALL the features to the S21 series since eligible to receive OS 14, OneUI 6 . WHY S(h)AMSUNG >??
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2024Anyone know if the a53 is included in this update?📸 flagships not midrangers even the s20 series are not getting it
I want nothing to do with AI, so i guess ill buy an older phone and run my own security through it. You ppl using AI, GONNA GET US ALL KILLED!

Anyone know if the a53 is included in this update?
The point user experience UX( UI) have nothing to do with the OS, the UI is up to users that they want
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2024Thank to Samsung, now almost every chinese flagship looks like an outdated phone without AI feature.Too bad AI still cant fix the camera issues on the S24 lineup. And AI certainly cant help Samsung phones compete with cameras on Chinese flagships
Cpt.Power, 12 Apr 2024I can. Because samsung updates once or twice a week are mostly bug fixes.
This doesnt helps ... more1. No, you are not. I don't think any update policy of Samsung won't effect a non-samsing user like you. So, you don't have right to complain.
2. You are wrong. Monthly updates of Samsung includes security improvement and performance improvement, not only bug fixes like you said.
Darth Caesium, 12 Apr 2024Well that's just your opinion, and opinions are allowed to be incorrect and terrible. Com... moreHeck, you can even bypass the Windows 11 requirement and still got everything working, including the updates.
Can't say the same with Android though. Once you custom ROM, you will always need to find a way to bypass SafetyNet, which is a big deal for some users.

I would say, the updates schedule and consistency on Samsung is the best and fastest of Android world.
Peter UK, 12 Apr 2024Yup this was the funniest point of S24 series. Not much change over my S23 Ultra but AI that l... moreMostly agreed with you and why I bought this was because it got the flat display, if it wasn't for this I had bought another brand this year, with real fast charge, not what Samsung call fast charge.
since updating to one UI 6.1 use the circle to search the most .... never any of the AI translation features or AI photo editing not once. instead of the gimmicky features I rather have samsung put in more useful features like hardware level security eg security, larger battery capacity
Good news for the owners including me, but I personally don't care much for the AI features. I do like the circle to search feature or the live translation feature.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2024I dont think a non-samsung user has right to complain about update policy of samsung.I can. Because samsung updates once or twice a week are mostly bug fixes.
This doesnt helps prove samsung is good company when looking for a cell phone.
Many other brands maybe dont release updates as often but at least not bugfixes only.
Garmarna, 12 Apr 2024My opinion: expect paid updates for older phones in 2025, for all Samsung phones in 2026. Why not?Well that's just your opinion, and opinions are allowed to be incorrect and terrible. Companies should not only be forced to have at least 7 years of software, OS and security updates, but this should also retroactively apply to anything older that isn't getting 7 years of these updates, and also to devices whose update cycles have ended but extending it to 7 years would still be possible (a 2013 phone would not benefit from this, but a 2017 phone would).
Seriously, PCs can receive updates forever except for special reasons (floppy disks don't work on newer versions of Windows or Linux anymore, Windows 11 requires TPM and at least 4GB of RAM, etc.), so phones should be able to as well, and if they can't because the software is so custom-tailored, then at least a minimum of 7 years sounds reasonable enough.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2024Yeah sure.. and praise chinese phone without software updates instead. Nice advice 👍I never praised the update policies of Chinese brands either. Especially not Xiaomi's, whose update policies are the most incompetently convoluted and tight-fisted. Google, on the other hand, has a (mostly) relatively good track record. Same goes for Apple for the most part.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2024Of course, none for the A-series to avoid making the S-Series look like a joke. Thank to Samsung, now almost every chinese flagship looks like an outdated phone without AI feature.
