Anonymous, 09 Apr 2024Sticking to facts, headphone jack or no headphone jack makes little to no difference for a bra... moreyou can't charge and listen to audio at the same time (without one of those awkward splitter dongles)

a dongle is another thing to potentially lose. also it's more ewaste, which defeats the point of fairphone's mission. OH WOW EMBRACE THE FUTURE!!!!

it doesn't matter how many excuses you make for greedy corporations trying to sell earbuds. it's always better to have a headphone jack than not. it LITERALLY costs a few bucks to slap it on there!

They said it... moreSticking to facts, headphone jack or no headphone jack makes little to no difference for a brand making devices aimed at sustainability. The 3.5mm jack is dead. It isn't 2015 any more, you can get cheap headphones for USB-C now.
    This brand is trying to make a real difference on things that really matters. Planned obsolescence driven by obscene repair costs. "You battery needs to be replaced? We won't do unless you also buy a display, rear panel _with_ force-built in camera sensors". That is what Fairphone is targeting. Not, "reasonable audiophile" experiences and such.

      i have gotten used to the likes of samsung, google, huawei, apple and xiaomi being greedy for removing the jack.

      but when it's fairphone doing it, it's especially disgusting.

      they have betrayed their company's mission.

        Quotes from your comment:
        "Unrepairable" --> it is repairable
        "E-waste" --> it's e-waste neutral

        Your comment contains exactly zero truths.

        But if you know what the company stands for, you'd not be typing a bunch on bs. Therefore it's clear that you don't know and haven't done some research otherwise you'd be writing something that contains true information. Ah well 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

                YUKI93, 09 Apr 2024Fairphone is that close to being the true anti-Apple until they removed the headphone jack on ... moreTheir excuse for the removal.of the jack wasn't even about water resistance. They said it themselves on LinkedIN that 3.5mm port removal was to comply with EU's usb type C standardization law.

                I didn't expected them to sink that low. And those die hard fanboys praising them for jack removal continue to turn a blind eye. That it made Fairphones no different from the competition.

                Why spend extra to import (and with customs tax) something that has no jack when you could get cheaper used models (with or without jack) that are way cheaper than them. No jack = no more reason to buy.

There are better competitors out there un the TWS world. The main point you wireless peeps keep missing is that companies removing the jack means they won't have the capability to sell their own brand of wireless buds.

                  And you must've missed the excuse Fairphone said about jack removal. Hint: It's not about water resistance.

                  It's so ridiculous since the existence of the bud is not going to be detrimental to wireless bud usage.

Maybe too lazy, not interested enough or just for the sake of ranting, research would be unnecessary. These buds are repairable, both the case and buds batteries are replaceable. Made of recycled materials, and talking about e-waste, there is no. It’s e-waste neutral. Name me any other buds that have these features. Stop spreading nonsense and misinformation, do some research before ranting bs. If you don’t like the product or company be my guest but at least don’t spread misinformation.
