Why previous ones does haven't got 'ultra' version? I don't think the smaller zenfone will appear.
Waiting for regular zenfone 11.

It's a shame what ASUS did, basically rebadging the ROG Phone 8 and calling it a day.

If they're asking for a high price, it needs to be justified too imho

This is overpriced, period.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra is priced like an Ultra but without the proper after sales support and service network that others have, example Samsung, Xiaomi, BBK, Apple etc
Then there is the big question of software support and the Zenfone once again can't match the big players that go as providing far as 7 years of updates and spares
I suggest Asus stick to mid-range segment where they will get much more customers, than trying to compete with the established brands in ultra flagship area

There IS a difference between ... moreI personally noticed the lack of sharpness on my old phone, which was a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017. Even though the display was only a 5.2" display with 1080p resolution at a 16:9 aspect ratio, which works out to 425ppi, I could see the gaps between the individual pixels, especially on circular objects. It honestly really bothered me, far more than its low brightness and terrible auto-brightness could. Now, imagine all of this, but much worse sharpness, on a bigger display. That would probably really hurt my eyes.
Ouifuf, 24 Mar 2024Idk what everyone else is saying, this phone has an 8 gen 3, large ltpo display, a headphone j... moreThere is a huge problem with it though, and a small one. The huge one is the Ultra disappointing camera setup, which may not be important for you, but it just IS important at it's price. The small one is the screen resolution, which at this size and price should be 1440p(+), and should let the user decide whether or not they want to use it at that resolution, or lower it to 1080p(+) in the settings.
I could also just say that there is only one issue with it, but that one is Ultra large, and that is the price.

There IS a difference between QHD and FHD but it's so minute at this screen size and the distance we view the screen at that it just doesn't matter for 99% of people and I'd say you won't notice it unless you look for it specifically. Most games internally render at lower resolutions as well so like there's nothing truly bad about the display.
Though I do agree that at THIS price, the display needed to be sharper like I'd expect FHD on a 600 USD phone at best like the OP 12R but even that phone has FHD+. Though I'd say the brightness heavily makes up for the resolution deficiency, people notice brighter displays more than they do the resolution. But anyways, who's gonna use this phone lmao if I saw someone using this phone outside I'd be laughing at their horrible choice.
Ouifuf, 24 Mar 2024Idk what everyone else is saying, this phone has an 8 gen 3, large ltpo display, a headphone j... moreThose are the only positives, though I'm personally looking to get a 6.3" phone in the future. Everything else about this phone is garbage. I can definitely get why you'd want it though, since it completely fits your criteria. For someone like me who cares about the cameras too much and would never use a phone with a display that is less than 460ppi, it falls short of what I want, even if the headphone jack is also on my list of wants.
Idk what everyone else is saying, this phone has an 8 gen 3, large ltpo display, a headphone jack, AND great battery life. This is basically my dream phone lol. I only bought my current phone about 2 months ago but if I didn't, I'd buy this phone in a heartbeat

This is a garbage phone with terrible specs for the price. It's also a shameless clone of Asus' ROG Phone 8. No thanks. I wouldn't buy a flagship that uses the decade-old, 8MP, 1/4.0"-type Omnivision ov8856 sensor for its selfie and then claims that it's a Quad Bayer 32MP sensor when it isn't. This is a selfie camera used only on £100-£200 phones, if that. The ultrawide is similarly old, the main camera is okay but nothing special, and the telephoto utilises a tiny 32MP sensor meant for selfies. Also, the camera processing has become terrible, even though Asus had been known for its realistic processing that looked great just 2 years ago. Camera-wise, this phone is downright terrible.
Even performance-wise, it's not great, because Asus downgraded the internals, maybe to save money? The display is also really not sharp at only 388ppi, and this phone completely discards the only appeal that Asus had had left: the pocketability of its small phones. The Zenfone 9 and 10 were great because of their small size, which nobody else in the market provided, but now, at this massive phone size, there is an awful lot of competition, which Asus just fails to even come close to matching, let alone differentiating themselves from.
zenfone 11 small would be sick.
If you like Asus, buy Zenfone 10 with the remaining money you can buy a ROG/TUF gaming laptop so you get 2 Asus products for the price of Zenfone 11U.
Nope, this could've been an awesome flagship killer phone at 700-750 usd, but it's not a flagship worthy device, and in it's price range everything else is better.
