It's a totally tone-deaf and baseless excuse to increase sales numbers of any brand.

As long as your requirements are fulfilled, any phone is just enough. You aren't getting anything special for practicality, lol.

Hopefully with 4G at least, and a 3.2MP camera. But the 3310 from 2017 is still a great phone and with 4G future proof. I like my white Nokia X30 it's by far the best smartphone I have used and it will be in use for many more years.

Super Android 22, 19 Mar 2024This is super worrying for HMD, it clearly shows they have no motivation, no ideas or care lef... moreIt is sort of like Sony. As long as Sony is making lots of money with their cameras, lenses, TVs, soundbars, speakers and headphones alongside their other business ventures like Playstation and Sony Semiconductor Solutions, they seem not inclined to do much.

Hopefully the 1 VI changes that. There's already a leak of a case for it showcasing the 19.5:9 aspect ratio and body similar to the S24 Ultra. Honestly come to think of it, it's for the better.

phooone, 20 Mar 2024They could just copy Oneplus and make good phones and provide timely updates. Why is this so h... moreBecause the Home of Mediocre Devices is NOT Nokia. And they don't have the people who were part of the Nokia teams (the ex-Nokians that were there when HMD was created in 2016 have long left the company).
HMD is a company of grifters, slapping the Nokia logo on generic Chinese hardware they get from a random ODM, and trying to pass it as a true Nokia phone to fool the more unaware customers.

Fortunately most people have already caught on to their fraud.
Which is why they're ditching the Nokia brand. No one is buying their phones anymore so they can't afford to even pay Nokia for the license to besmirch their brand.

They could just copy Oneplus and make good phones and provide timely updates. Why is this so hard for them to figure out? It's been years since they have made any good phone which turns people's heads. Lumia design already exists. Just modernise it a little and let the money rolling in.

if it's 2G only then it is useless, unless if used as dedicated mp3 player or fm radio.

In other words, any new model will be under HMD brand.
