I Have This Issues Last Week, I will be happy if this is solve
If this plugin came through the system apps updater (not GetApps or manually from APKMirror), I got to update it such way in an old Redmi Note 8 Pro running MIUI 12 (not 12.5, it does not update to it) and to date everything is OK.
It's odd, and it quite sucks they don't go beyond an apology knowing how much data has been lost, moreso in phones with no microSD slot to backup there pictures.
That's what happens when you release a zillion different models with confusing names every year. No resorces to properly software support all of them.

Sucks. To be them atm.
Djnady99, 04 Mar 2024that is why, u need sd card slot or else u would loose all important data from your phone.
... moreFools justifying that 128gb is enough (and microsd cards are a thing of the past) forget that they do not even have 128gb out of the box. Then you have future updates from the maker along with third party apps and their personal files taking even more space.
Now it's bye bye for them.
That's why I don't recommend updating phones if it's not necessary. There can be more bugs and compatibility issues with every new update. I have a Mi 10 Pro and I never updated it and still runs fine without any major problems. The only bug I encounter every few weeks is the launcher freezes and I can't close apps, after reboot everything works perfectly again.
this is why backing up your phone to the cloud, a PC, or some external media is always recommended. You shouldn't rely on only one way to store your data, its a terrible idea.
Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024Just wait till your phone gets bricked by an update and all data gets lost. Bet you won't... moreThat is the risk of all the phone brands updates. No brand is safe with it. We have seen it happen on iphones several times. Even updates that are made to slow your phone down with a hope these people buy new phone cause there old one got slow after update.
Also you got to do more to offend people. I am not so soft that i be offended for being called a fanboy that is specifically written by you to be offensive.

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024Not a problem, MIUI users are used to bootloops (jk, or maybe not?)I have xiaomi phone for many years and this the 1st bootloop for me.
But the problem is now with newer phones that should get HyperOS, those seem to be affected now.
Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024Justice should force them to give new devices to every client affected. But the data (photos etc) is lost and can't be replaced
W xiaomi moment
"factory reset, of course, will wipe out all your data"
Do these phones have SD card storage?
This is unacceptable.

ik, backup before you do the update but how many people do that ? and what if ur phone storage is almost exhausted ?
but peple will brag about it turn ur phone process slow..... which yes may happen but not like drop of performance for upto 50-60% ,,,,,, hardly 5 or 10% drop.. is still ok, atleast for me......
anyways....
pl2rts, 04 Mar 2024Seems to be a update made for HyperOS and was released for MIUI too and then that causes probl... moreBut the funny thing is... it doesn't happen with others, as far as i know, when i ran a old version of Android that came before OneUI, it still had updates to the pre-installed apps to a OneUI icon and design and it did not bootlooped.
S0M30N3 X14, 04 Mar 2024That's a reveal of why HyperOS is better than MIUI.HyperOS is just a rebranded MIUI 15 update.
