These people have been indoctrinated through planned obsolescence. They don't realize an old midranger still performs better than a newer budget phone, some of which are actually getting the HyperOS update (compare the power of SD 845 from your F1 vs SD 680 from a Redmi Note 11, a phone actually getting the update).
HyperOS is "nothing" at all
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2024Bruh, it’s time to let go. 😂Why?
no seruosly why?
Lets set aside for a moment that it has a 3.5 Jack, SD slot, FM radio, LED light...etc all the stuff you can not find on todays phones (except for the freaking IR Blaster that I miss on my F1)
If it works, why would/should anyone buy a new phone? Forget the brainwashing marketing that you see everywhere, give me a logic reason please
justasmile, 01 Mar 2024Practically all Xiaomi flagships can run HyperOS, and even some Redmi phones too - that's... moreWhat do custom ROMs have to do with receiving official support from Xiaomi themselves? They are 2 entirely different things and not correlated at all.
If anything you're the ignorant one for being surprised Redmi phones are getting it when those are capable enough of running a simple new OS update with a rebranded name to trick people like you into thinking it's a shiny new thing.
Meh, 02 Mar 2024At first it was hyped, after using few months, still similar like MIUI OS. is not same hyper os smooth so good no bugs

For my next one I plan to get a more expensive camera centric flagship phone but keep it for a long time and then try to give up wasting so much time reading phone reviews!

I change it when the performance starts to slow down, some applications don't support the current phone, etc. Of course I want to change to another brand, I like fast performance or all rounder phones and that's mostly on Chinese phones.

If you switch you get a feel for the strengths and weaknesses of different brands. I know the strengths and weaknesses now of my current Xiaomi/Redmi phone compared to some others I've tried. It has some strengths but it also has some weaknesses compared to others I tried in similar price categories. I don't have a favorite brand. Basically I'd buy any of the Chinese brands except Meizu. There's stuff about all of them I like and dislike though.

I'm a Xiaomi user, of course I reply to other people's words that have no evidence, which looks like I'm upset like you said.. Everyone will be upset about their favorite brand, don't just look at me.
I don't, have I ever said anything negative like this UI has ads? which isn't actually in that UI to others brand?

Battery tests will vary a lot depending on the test but this applies to other phones too not just Xiaomi. The Honor magic 6 pro has been way above the Xiaomi 14 for example on nearly all big Chinese review battery tests but there is not much difference on gsmarena's battery test. Why? I don't know. You can't just rely on 1 review for these things especially when there is no even repeatable scoring system. I know you get upset if you see anything negative about Xiaomi but try to remain neutral. Always remember as well that sites like this and YouTube reviewers are not neutral. If you look for something positive that you want to find about a phone or brand you will find it. If you look for something negative about a brand or phone you will also find it regardless of the brand. Have you used other brands recently or do you only use Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco?

You can see it on the Gupta Information Systems and Gadgets 4 You channels.

I'm not talking about the Xiaomi fl... moreIf people are very concerned about battery life with software updates they can look up youtube videos. There are reviewers out there that do that. I think it would be a much more valuable use of their time from a consumer's point of view to do more reviews from brands that get less coverage. Xiaomi and Samsung are covered more than other brands here. Why? Becuase they are the two most popular brands worldwide and they make more money for gsmarena. This is understandable. A lot of the older models aren't even available for sale any more though so what is the point in testing their batteries when hardly anyone is going to even be considering buying them anymore? New models that are currently available should take preference for reviews as they are the ones that most people are going to be considering buying
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2024When will it come to my Poco F1? It´s still going strong without problemsBruh, it’s time to let go. 😂

If they do it for Xiaomi then they should also do it for new versions of magic os, color os, fun touch os, MyOS etc. They don't have the resources to do that. It's essentially just a name change. Would be more interesting to see if they bring some of the new camera software features on the Xiaomi 14 ultra e.g. The master portrait mode to users of the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 pro and 13 ultra or will they not do that. That's the problem with Xiaomi's updates
