we could see something more akin to the rabbit r1 in future as it aligns with their "all in ai" ethos and would not be a traditional smartphone.

i've been wondering about the pro model ever since the live launch event, the recent announcement didn't bring good news so this is nice change of pace.
i wonder what will happen to the foldable which was in development for a long while, would a shame to axe it.

Meizu makes decent phones, but it's not a good idea to buy a phone from a company that is officially about to close it's smartphone division. You just don't know how they're going to handle their after-sales service, warranty claims & software updates. It's just an unnecessarily risky move, unless you don't care about any of those things.

I had the original Meizu MX (4-core), MX5, and the Pro 7. Still using the Pro 7 after 5 years with Android 7 (never had any OS update), but still works perfectly fine, and I love the built-in Cirrus DAC inside and its 3.5mm headphone jack. Proud to own these devices. And now I am using Pixel 6 Pro and Nokia 9 Pureview.
