DeepIn2U, 22 Feb 2024Youre correct on almoat everything except Apple displays. You FORGET WHOM makes Apples OLED... moreI wrote nothing about apple displays and just so you know, Samsung Display and Samsung Electronics are not the same, just because they have the same mother company. Samsung's mobile division is a customer of Samsung Display - and others.

Apple has come further with regards to display tech than Samsung Mobile Division as well. Just about everyone has. Not sure why though. It doesn't make much sense, unless to save on licences - as they to with no Dolby Vision support.

It's very unlikely qualcomm has the means to communicate with Chinese satellites. The satellite communication would most likely be provided by a Chinese company and not be available outside of China.

The shallow spec-heads/cheap Chinese phone lovers in the comment section think higher refresh rate screens (much higher than what the human eye can detect) and super-duper fast charging matter to the average person/user, lol.

Rambhat, 22 Feb 2024Earlier these chinese brands were known for innovation…..now they are simply copying and catch... moreThis satelite communication is a qualcomm thing and this is two-way communication. Apple is one-way.

Samsung still on 8-bit displays with the ability to reproduce up to 16.7 million colors.

Xiaomi has had 12- bit displays (up to 68 billion colors) for years already, and 10-bit (up to 1 billion colors) before that.

Samsung's 2024 flagship is still on 1/1.3" main camera sensor, same as Xiaomi in 2020. Xiaomi has had three flagship generations generations with 1.0 type sensors already.
Apple isn't doing much better than Samsung with a 1/1.28" main sensor.

Xiaomi is also opting away from Corning glass in their most recent flagships, to make even tougher glass. As for now, Xiaomi's Dragon Crystal Glass is the hardest (860 HV0.025,), with Huawei on 2nd place (830 HV0.025,), Apple in third (814 HV0.025,) behind and Corning (670 HV0.025.) significantly behind.

Xiaomi has been partnering and co-developing great new HW, including camera HW. Samsung and Apple waits for the prices to come down and then adopt. Though samsung lags further behind than apple in key areas such as display technology and camera sensors. Milking their ancient, and super cheap, 0.6µm wafers to death.
