Do we? Just asking, 'cause I've been using chinese phones with ultra fast charging ( 80W,120W,180W ), for the past 3+ years, and still am without issues. It's not the chinese phones that have battery issues, but low quality phones, including some really cheap noname chinese phones, and some others.
Also this isn't a battery, it's a charger, which is heavy for a reason, to ensure safety, plus the GaN technology itself already makes it safer.
"I'd be afraid this thing would fry my phone."
Not sure on what phone you have, but if it's modern enough, then it can limit the charging speed coming from chargers like this, and only take say 25W,27W, or 45W for example, making that unlikely.
that things been on nubia mart for EVER!! that one an the 120w one both ... been on there a loong time ... does nobody research these things?

And that's before we get into what use a charger has for RGB lights and an LCD....

Looks like what Nothing would make if they made a charger, minus the coloured lights and probably with 'glyph lights'...
Anton el .PAPI, 22 Feb 2024There are $30 chargers on AliExpress with that amount* what they are telling you here is the l... moreI wouldn't trust any 150W GaN charger which costs $30, but hey I get that it's expensive for a charger, but it's for those who need one for it's specific features, nobody is cross-shopping this with $30 chargers.
DarlingYext, 22 Feb 2024I mean 150W GaN is no joke. There are $30 chargers on AliExpress with that amount* what they are telling you here is the lights and the screen, nothing more...
DarlingYext, 22 Feb 2024I mean 150W GaN is no joke. I don't disagree. But $200 is still too much.
