Every component manufacturers have grades, even Qualcomm. The reason Xiaomi could sell their phones so cheap is because they get the lower grade components. But now having to pay premium price for lower grade components from 2nd or 3rd tier OEMs? No way.

Samsung makes a lot of the S24 components themselves, 1st party. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has to buy their components, and will go to the lowest bidder, 2nd or 3rd tier quality components. There's a reason why Xiaomi phones used to be so cheap. The fact they are trying to charge the same price as Samsung is ludicrous.

In my country it's 959 Eur for S24 8/256 and 899 Eur for Xiaomi 14 12/512. On the other hand with Samsung you can buy an S23 and will get pretty much the same phone, definitely the same cameras (since S22).

There are things Samsung does better, software for example as you said, but hardware isn't one of them

Ads are minimal, only reeling in themes app and when installing an app from Google play, but I hear their most expensive phones don't have those ads. Bugs are minimal, really one "big" one was with gallery app killing the battery life but it was fixed. Really now, MIUI/HyperOS is far from being as buggy mess as before.

For me personally it's important, 50w for me, for example, is very important, I own a Xiaomi with 67w charging, it saved me multiple times where I forgot to charge my phone and being able to charge 20% in 10 minutes helped

Thats because the super duper fast charging is only a tertiary/ last factor before someone make decision to buy a phone!

In my country Xiaomi 14 512GB model is 80Eur cheaper then S24 256GB model.

Xiaomi instantly but the hugest trade up is software, how your phone runs and what it looks like. I heard their software has ads, is unreliable and buggy and so on. The hardware part goes to Xiaomi but software and ecosystem wise, I'd be leaning toward Samsung

LOL, S24 vs Xiaomi? At this price, I'll vote Samsung everytime. More reliable software, monthly security updates, 1st party components, and brand. If I paid this much money for a phone, why do I want a phone from a second tier company with second tier components and 3rd rate software?

I believe the camera sample are taken in 'Leica Vivid' mode. If using 'Leica Authentic', it will embarassed S24 even more. More natural details & colors.

If anything, I would compare the Xiaomi 14 to the S24 Plus SD version, or to the S23 plus
