Samsung dont want to have best cameras or use newer technology or even to be phone pioneer. For them its enough when you buy recycled phones with all money you have.

Xiaomi is getting better every year but at this price range, its a no for xiaomi even if the xiaomi 14 has better characteristics overall. When it comes to Android, Samsung has one of the best softwares and support

With each update they fix one thing... moreAnd worst, they tend to leave their devices with a buggy firmware as the last update, so you end up with a buggy device that will never be fixed. Now if this is like a $100 or $200 phone, I can wing it. But we're talking about flagship premium price phone here. Samsung with their 7 years of update will at least show some willingness to stand behind their product.

Interesting. I had no idea Xiaomi flagships are as good if not better than Samsung. And cheaper. I might consider it. As long as there isn't bloatware preinstalled.

My xiaomi 14 coming soon. I also like the s24 but the charging speed... after using 67w charging i cant go back.

If import is not a big deal for someone, then you get Xiaomi 14 for lesser price than S24.

Likewise, Xiaomi's phones NEED updates cus of bugs and stuff and slow updates on their 1000 euro flagship imo isn't too worth it. Great phone, easily the best compact phone out right now, if it costed something like 800 euros it'd have been a stellar deal and put even Google's Pixel 8 on notice. But this is just supporting those companies, they have cheaper phones but they're worse in hardware. This phone is more expensive but is the best. Horrible tactics for consumers but a smart business move by Xiaomi.

Rosso, 26 Feb 2024I own 12X, which was their entry level flagship in 2022. Ads are minimal, only reeling in them... moreWhy should I as a consumer pay a premium and still get subpar software quality like that? I'd just get Samsung, plus I get monthly security patches.
When we are at lower end segment, sure, I can give Xiaomi excuses. But at this premium flagship pricing? No excuses.
