You can have over-saturated content mastered for SRGB or under-saturated content mastered or displayed on a screen with REC2020.
I started using Natural preset on a S20 Ultra i had while the tab S5e was on Vivid.
I got used to the less saturated look, soo much that when i opened the emojis menu on the tablet i "eeeew-ed" at the over saturated colors of it.
But i guess Samsung was right on people prefering more saturation since people were used to it for years and now claim the screens are less colorful 🤔

That's something I don't like at all. Instead the natural looking colours on S24 phones look better. But to each, their own
Can't wait for camera fix. Hope they read/heard the horde of users complaining about the photo quality. All the tests and comparisons between competitors leave it far behind. Time to do something about it.
Display colors are great, more natural, but some people like more vivid, unnatural colors like older galaxy s series. Every one will choose saturation with own preferences and its very good decision. The same way should be in camera preferences, we should have tools to change saturation and shaprness, someting like: natural, normal, vivid itp

I really don't notice anything "bland" about the S24 series displays. To me it's just like every other display I've used.
It is not an issue actually but is better always to have a choise cough cough iphone .....
Just one question.
They havent fixed S23 series camera hardware problem which they tryied to fix by software which aint possible because its a hardware persistent problem.
They havent fixed S23 series green line in displays which is a year old issue and simply they did not care.
How they want to fix S24 series if S23 series after a year arent fixed.
First they should stop meesing older devices.
Second they should release new things and gadgets whe all issues are fixed and not use ordinary customers as their pawns and peons,
Last thing. Samsung is interested only in money anything els they just dont care unless their shoes arent burnt to crisps like in famous note 7 battery issue.

A lot of devices don't let you use regular SRGB anymore, or put some silly restrictions when doing so (epsecially monitors and TVs)
So that "preferances" ends up in forced on some devices.

I don't think of OVERsaturated photo/video. Anyways, I like that they fixed an issue people had, yes but still sad.

why else does photo editing/color grading exist? some people might like natural but most just prefer oversaturated colors that pop out and look appealing🤷♂️

% of usable chips from E2400 are 60%, up from 20% one year before.
"update to fix the bland displays"
There's nothing to fix as it's not an issue and stop putting your subjective opinions in the titles
Isn't it sad how many people prefer these fake oversaturated colours? Even in pictures.
And many phone companies went that route, even the TV and monitor market do it.
