Whereas I got my OP12 512GB for around $650, no trade-in ... morePixel is made for the average user, oneplus really isn't. in the places that matter to the average consumer, pixel destroys oneplus. Simpler software, an actual ecosystem that works pretty well, amazing cameras, and enough power to work well until it is eventually replaced. The average user doesn't really care about how much RAM their phone has or that the HDR peak brightness of their phone is, they just want their phone to work well and be simple to use.

You cannot root OnePlus devices because they won't allow you to download the stock firmware from their servers. You cannot patch boot.img like this

Oneplus's software support is l clearly inferior, especially the frequency of updates.

Moto Edge 2022 and Edge 2023 have the same damn chipset down to the GPU and production process of 6nm. 7030 is just a rebranded 1050. And, yet you write it as a newer cheapest justifying the extra price.

12R beats Pixel 7a and Pixel 8 in every aspect but camera prowess and IP rating. More of a toss up really.
