Every OEM who wants GMS must have their handset certified by Google, and part of the certification requirement is to have Chrome pre-installed on the handset.

Remember the last time Microsoft forced PCs to have Internet Explorer pre-installed? Yet Google get a free pass. The fact that even the EU is "ovlivious" to this questions every decision they made.

Its why with recent software updates (take One UI 6 for example) have been being sent out much quicker. For One UI, the devices to last receive the update would receive it about 8 or 9 months after release. For One UI 5, thats been cut down significantly

I'd rather have an option to remove that search bar in toto.

Dayum thing not only occupies precious real estate but also looks hideous aesthetically

It would be better to add scheduled actions, turn off the charge when it reaches 90% like on the new Samsung and iPhone, add screensavers for AOD, there are just clocks and photos, there are no clock styles and TDs are just empty, a news feed, why is it needed if Google sets Google News by default which is easier to customize according to preferences, it would be better if you swipe to the right to launch the Google News application or you could set the knife to select, SMS calls, I’m silent, they still have to learn from Xiaomi and Samsung

Zendroid, 14 Jan 2024Amazing! Other brands had that option for decades. The season they are prolly doing this is maybe they thought they'd lose in court and not having a feature like this might cause a problem in their phones which would them lead to consumer dissatisfaction
