justasmile, 08 Jan 2024Have you even tried Oxygen OS and compared it with ColorOS, firstly?Agree, I am typing on an oneplus 7. Good phone. Bad software. It is still on an android 10 build. Better use an oppo or vivo software since they don't have bugs. Camera poor.
I will most likely not buy one despite it being a great phone, because my daily driver is still only just over a year old and is going strong.
However, in the rare event that:
1. This OnePlus phone has US bands and is official in the US,
2. Is sold for a good price in the US, at most $650 for an unlocked version supporting my carrier,
3. My current phone breaks and cannot be repaired,
Then I might buy this phone.
The Android Freak, 08 Jan 2024Whatever you have is great phone. Just globally it's launched with lower battery capacity... moreWell me too but lets see.
Every year the greatly upgrading.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2024Prices for USA OP12 - 12/256GB : $799 - 16/512GB : $899 OP12R - 8/128GB : $499 - Killer pricing. But it won't sell at that price point.

Just globally it's launched with lower battery capacity. Rest top notch. I wish Moto launches phone with snapdragon 8gen3 and OV50H/IMX 890/OV50K at 1000USD.
Zuzuz, 07 Jan 2024Better get a 13T from Xiaomi. Better sensors. That stupid 8mp ruins everything.Yes
HyperionBurn, 07 Jan 2024only thing good is display/chip, camera sucksMain camera is good. But no ultrawide, no buy.
This is 444e on giztop with shipping included to Germany. I really hate this bored to death design already so probably going to skip it, but you can't deny what you get for this price is awesome. I had op 7 pro, 8t, 10t, I cannot go forward with these gigantic phones and this design. Xiaomi 14 looks hella nice and has good features aswell. If oneplus would do something squared edge with max 6.4" display, I would buy it so quickly. Tired of carrying bricks in my pants.
Looks like a solid phone to me and the price is tempting. Unfortunately it'll be around 20 percent more outside it's home country. Still a good buy tho
Anonymous, 08 Jan 2024You meant 256GB or less, right? No. I may have worded my comment poorly. I was referring to the fact that they're not skimping on storage, which is a good thing. And yet we're going to be restricted by the archaic transfer speed if/when we've got to actually move stuff over. Imagine having to backup all that data for some reason.
Anonymous, 07 Jan 2024Nope, without SD card, audio jack, not for me.Don't make them like they used to.
Zendroid, 07 Jan 2024Edged screen. Oppo is build. No slider. Same price as any other flagship. Nah. No more op for us. 1. It does have an alert slider
2. You comment 'Oppo is build'. I'm not 100% sure if Oppo is manufacturing it or not. However, if they are that would certainly be a good thing. It's much better than the alternative of outsourcing the manufacture to third parties like BYD electronics as Oppo can have full oversight of the quality control of their phones. All the early Oneplus phones were designed and manufactured by Oppo in any case so I don't see the problem. When the manufacture is outsourced then even though it might be cheaper you are dependedent on third parties for quality control.

The global version (or at least Indian version) of the Iqoo neo 9 pro supposedly will be a rebranded Chinese Iqoo neo 9 which also has an 8mp ultrawide and 2mp macro and comes with a weaker chip (the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 rather than the dimensity 9300 in the Chinese pro model)
Intruder, 07 Jan 2024Any phone still releasing in 2023/24 with USB 2.0 transfer speeds and yet having 256gb or more... moreBut tbf, Apple managed to get away with it up until last year before the iPhone 15 Pro models got USB-C ports. Literally the top-end variant of the iPhone 14 Pro Max that time only offered USB 2.0 data transfer speeds over its outdated Lightning Port, and if not for EU regulations, they'd still be offering that for the next 5 or more years to come.
Like, imagine how long has Apple been ripping everyone off with it, for somebody that pioneered the class-leading Thunderbolt port back in 2011 together with Intel.
Very bad mobile and green line mark
