After pricing is announced, I will see memes of dreams getting crushed, not on social media, right when I close my eyes.
Thing is, we're talking about 4K240 and FHD480 in one monitor, its a dream setup for almost anyone.

Its pricing's gonna go through the roof, we can be sure.

Finally. This is the monitor to get. 4K for content and 1080p for eSports. Weird that we only got this in monitors now when laptops had this tech for a year. At least we got some.

Mills, 22 Dec 2023Interesting concept but practical? Not sure. For monitors, 1440p at 90hz is good. 1080p at 120... more4K to watch movies or videos at full resolution. 1080p for maximum refresh rate since still popular. Now you get the best of both world.

Oh wow, LG finally did it, the dream monitor. Console peasants act like human eye can't see more than 240 fps (it can) or that you can't play this fps unless you spend X thousands on PC (lol you can easily get 700 fps in cs:go with RTX 3060 on FHD high settings). There're tons of fast-paced games where more FPS is always welcome.

I don't know what's better, the fact that oled monitors are becoming common thing or the salty console peasant tears. One way or the other it's a good day to be a PC gamer.

Interesting concept but practical? Not sure. For monitors, 1440p at 90hz is good. 1080p at 120hz is just as good. Want more fluid animations? 1080 will do it. Want more pixels? 1440 will do it.

zaryan, 22 Dec 2023can't they bring LTPO tech from phone displays to computer monitors Freesync or VRR would be a better solution than the stepped/fixed refresh rates of LTPO.

It's a useless gimmick monitor for spec chasers that won't be able to use 70% of the tech.

Not only that but OLED is a big no-no for gaming monitors because of constant static elements, as well as for browsing and office work.

                            What a pointless monitor lol.

Going to be stupidly priced and unless you're rocking a what, £3000+ PC, you aint getting those frame rates (you're going to need atleast an rtx 4090 to hit anywhere near those frames consistently). Also from my understanding and just checking actual specs, DP 1.4 maxes out at 4k 120hz (artifically bumping it up to 240hz with black frames or whatever rubbish they use isnt 240hz).

480hz at 1080p aswell, why? Unless you're a pro gamer who might possibly notice the frame difference between 240/360/480 and is about 20 years old then again you arent getting any benefits, absolute waste of an article lol over a false marketing monitor. Way better ones on the market and probably cheaper (the 43 inch ones are worthless too, UW QHD at those sizes will look pretty average).

If only this supported DisplayPort 2.1. Regardless, though, I would like the same thing in a smaller package. 32" is just too big for me, I want 4K at 27". Also, anything less than HDR1000 is unacceptable on a monitor this expensive or OLED in general.

Great tech, just way too damn expensive lol. I'll wait for when these OLED monitors become more common and cheaper.

Also wish to see more miniLED monitors and/or QLED monitors with local dimming.
