justasmile, 19 Dec 2023The pro.Ah, then yeah, I do think that the Pro looks better than the regular 100 and arguably better than the Z60 Ultra. It's not a perfect design, like I still think the camera bump is indeed a bit weird, but paired with that back finish, it's overall a better looking phone than the regular 100. But hey, if the regular 100 it's more appealing to you and you like it more, no problem then.

They downgraded the selfie camera?
Probably better hardware. Samsung's 12MP selfie cameras beat out even Xiaomi's 20MP selfie cameras so that could be a sign that this is an upgrade in disguise.

justasmile, 19 Dec 2023I'd rather have it look generic than ugly.The design ambition of most companies like Samsing, Apple, Google et cetera, seems iterative and functional and the past releases manifest this trend. There's nothing wrong with such approach, however, this makes their devices monotonous slabs tallying the same/similar design lacking variety.
Smaller companies like ZTE have spiked the market with distinct and varied products in terms of design differential. The design of this product is quite contrastive to competitors. It has design stencil/motive similar to that of casio vintage time pieces or a retro camera. The white version especially cues the design outlook of 80's products.
I know ZTE is lacking in terms of software longetivity,and maybe their approach towards android is not for everyone, nontheless, they have design and hardware ambition which is amiable.

The introductory price of 3,999rmb (US$565) for 12gb 256gb in China is very good given what's on offer. Three very good camera sensors and not that much is missing from the phone apart from maybe wireless charging. I think nubia has become one of the most cost effective of all Chinese brands for flagships for the moment anyway. The major drawback is probably the bulk of the phone (246g is on the hefty side) but that's the tradeoff I guess for the 6,000mAh battery.

The best focal length on a smartphone.
1. Ultra wide lens is 18mm (it will be better if it was 16mm)
2. Wide lens is 35mm (Perfect for everyday photography, images will be without distortion)
3. 85mm telephoto is the sweetest spot for the perfect portrait photography.
