C type Speakers are ok at quality, but the best quality is still in earphones. No valid alternative yet.

Those numbers are pathetic compared to numbers of people buying iPhones. Like I said, even the Chinese themselves would rather buy a Huawei or iPhone. Plenty of Chinese expats I have met for business, and they all have iPhones.
Sure, they may have the hardware, but if the software is not up to par with stock Android, then it's a no go. SoC this, RAM that, camera this... then the OS interface is a letdown and I have to use launchers that don't always work as expected.

They also aren't "bad", considering how many happy customers there are and how good the reviews are.

Even Chinese people wouldn’t want to use those Chinese phones other than Huawei. Chinese people who can afford phones at those prices buy either Huawei or iPhones.
ArT, 20 Nov 2023thanks for the reply. of course it helps. Just another question: is it possible to install vpn... moreI don't use any VPN apps, but the google play store is installed as Trading Shenzhen (where I bought it from) installs full google services and does a Safetynet test before shipping.
Searching for VPN on the play store it offers a myriad of apps to download, such as NordVPN or SuperVPN, so I'd say yes to that.
Also, check what bands your service provider use, Band B20 is not available on the Chinese version of the X100 so it's possible it might not work with some providers. The x90PP came with all bands available, but the Chinese version of the X90 Pro was missing Band B20.
Trading Shenzhen have a compatibility checker for each phone it sells, so I'd look at that before purchasing also

Even at a higher price. And I am telling this having used all these brands before and I could not have worse experience especially with sam (iOS just i did not like). And I am not the only one sharing such experience.
To reply in the poll, I am waiting the global release of the Vivo X100 pro in Europe to replace my super-duper Huawei P30 (which still works perfectly well since 2020 but just want a larger screen).

Not sure what the Chinese model is doing however I guess X100 pro will also go global soon and no need to be imported from China with Chinese rom.
And one more thing: You see how people have forgiven and forgotten the microSD slot missing?
Well, a part of it goes to the 1TB internal memory.
However, 3.5mm jack missing is still a big pain. The closest alternative was a USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor, but... we all are noticing how good quality, branded adaptors by big brands like Samsung, Realme, etc are going missing from the market?
How can all go missing? Who's controlling the industry?
"No, there are better flagships out there".
Now, let me explain my answer. I don't use camera so much as I use music. I'm a total audiophile, a musichead. And the quality+versatlity I get from my LG G8x is not provided by both these phones..
No Quad DAC, no 3.5mm jack. (I'm ready to let microSD slot go, at 1TB internal)
So, for me, my existing phone is a better flagship.
Of course, you're free to say the industry has moved in a different direction. And I agree.
Madmallu, 20 Nov 2023Come to 2023 dude.. you still in old daysno i just like flawless audio that doesn't make more drains on the battery. and i don't trust any chinese rom without a qualcomm soc which i can a custom rom on [which also means most european samsung flagships due to exynos not being open for custom rom and i hate their version of the os]. let alone the fact it's made for 50p with govt subsidies being sold at a apple prices.

I would never pay $1000 to a phone that is not officially available (including aftersales support) in my country. besides, all Chinese products are preferred for being cheap. if there is going to be a global pricing, it has to be 10-20% lower than s24 and iphone15.
Bob, 19 Nov 2023no thanks, both to big, no 3.5mm and a dimensity soc so no potential for custom rom.Come to 2023 dude.. you still in old days
