OxygenOS is nowadays even worse than ColorOS, with bugs rarely getting rectified and users constantly in anxiety whether new updates will bring new bugs or worst of all, display green/pink lines.

I will buy Samsung instead.In our country, for a cheaper price than an s23 with only 128GB of storage(meaning it comes with UFS 3.1 too), you can get the Xiaomi 14 Pro with 256GB of storage already. Not to mention that the 14 Pro has so much better specs than what the s23 series have.

I'm curre... moreI think the Oneplus will be a little better than the regular Xiaomi 14 for the same price in terms of specifications and software. It will definitely be cheaper than the Xiaomi 14 pro. Supposedly the screen is even better than the one on the Xiaomi 14 pro. Basically, it's more similar to the Xiaomi 14 pro, minus the IP68 rating but it'll likely be priced the same as the Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi 14 though has the advantage of being a flat screen and a smaller form factor for those that prefer more compact phones and flat screens. If I was choosing between the Oneplus 12 and Xiaomi 14 pro I'd go for the Oneplus but I personally like flat screens so I also like the Xiaomi 14. The Oneplus 12 will likely come this month anyway so not long to wait to find out

No. I will never buy again a phone with a 20:9 screen ratio or if its screen width is less than 7.1cm. That's why I think that OnePlus 12 will be a much better choice.

45-50mm is for full body portraits
60-70mm for half body portraits
80-90mm for headshots
5x is 120mm isn't that good unless you're doing some kind of weird long distance portrait

Most people typing never buying, never again, tons of crapware have mostly never even used a Xiaomi flagship 🤣
Anyways, I'm waiting for the 14 ultra, that might even go toe to toe with apsc mirrorless cameras out there too.

I don't care about the hardware specs as that's already great throughout the years. My only concern is the software. If HyperOS continues to be good AND consistent, I would consider it.
From the previews I'm seeing so far, HyperOS is already refined (if not) in terms of its animations and other aspects of Android 14. If they continue to do that with the software consistency and update policy. I'm all in.
Chinese phones like Xiaomi are getting better and better, no doubt, but it could not beat Apple far from it. Still, I like how this goes.
