FunTouch OS has pretty much stock Android icons now, so when exactly did you TRY said vivo phone out at that store?

Unfortunatelly I can answer that, I have used a Samsung phone before, in fact multiple of them, and you know that, but for some reason chose to ignore it, that's fine just don't lie about me here. :)
Why comment something you know you have to change?
(I own and have daily drove a Galaxy J5, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 10+ 5G)

justasmile, 24 Oct 2023Vivo is even more bloated than Samsung is, isn't it?Out of all the pre-installed apps on my vivo X Note, I can only not uninstall 3 of them, one being V-Appstore, which is vivo's own App Store, so I think that makes sense, the other is an app called vivo.com (self explanatory) and the last one is vivo's own Wallet app. Now, of course this phone is running their chinese software, Origin OS so the Wallet app makes sense, as Google Wallet wouldn't work in China, not that it doesn't work on the phone itself, because it does.
As for vivo's other software, which is FunTouch OS, well that's just basically stock Android, so that has even less Apps.

justasmile, 24 Oct 2023Vivo is even more bloated than Samsung is, isn't it?Ehh, not really. On my experience it's just feels pretty similar in terms of how much are the bloats, mostly Google apps + vendor apps with similar functionality.

Have you ever used a vivo phone? Don't have to answer that, I know you haven't.
My comment literally stated not to to judge said brand by their lowest-end series, which is the Y series. Now why would I say that if even their lowest-end phones were good? Clearly, because they aren't.
You always talk about software, and how amazing it is that Samsung provides 4-5 years of software updates. Well, guess what, software is the exact reason why I don't use Samsung phones, and software is the exact reason why I am a vivo user.
Different people, different likings and preferences, but I guess it's easier to say something is trash than to accept someone else's preference.

If you are from India you will probably find people with this phone, and this phone is coming to China... GSMArena will continue spamming every phone from every country so we will feel that Vivo is releasing too many phones. In fact, this phone is only available in China and India. Just like the Redmi Note series, which people say is a lot, but in reality there are only 3 that available in Indonesia.
