After the software update on my galaxy watch 6, sleep apnea is not among the newly added features.

Watch 4 should have had it too. It has 4 year support and it is only two years old.

While it is nice to see Samsung investing into helping people get sleep, they also need to invest equal time into keeping their watches awake.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2023The GW5 and GW6 models has a skin temperature sensor, so they don't have identical sensor... morethe temperature sensor isn't used for this so it doesn't matter. other sensors are identical.
Active2 and Watch3 also use the same sensors so at least all watches from the 3 onwards should get this feature.

It is fully possible the other sensors aren't exactly the same either.
The Active2 is one year older than the GW3, which is probably the reason that one is out of the eligible devices list for Tizen updates.

It's truly an important feature. Great addition.

Samsung's support for their watches is abysmal. Galaxy Watch4 has the same sensors as the Watch5 but doesn't get the update. The watch is only two years old and is supposed to get 4 years of support..
Not to mention that the Active2 and Watch3 also have the required sensors though only the Watch3 is still within the support window..
