Like most sports, F1 is much more fun when you're actually playing it rather than watching it. Unfortunately unlike most sports, the best most can do is drive a go-kart. Still incredibly fun tho.

The F1 series used to be great fun when Juan Pablo Montoya, the Schuhmacher-brothers, Kimi Räikonnen as drivers or team leaders like Eddie Jordan or Flavio Briatore were active.
Nowadays the F1 has become way too boring to be watched.

Look at society today: quick match games like Fortnight, swiping Tik-Tok for short videos which you can't remember 99% of at the end of the session, TL;DR culture, online news made up of 10 sentences cut to pieces by 70 commercials.
I really can't blame such a short attention span generation that has been designed to accept instant gratification and not waste their energy on anything that requires time to achieve. So yeah, no wonder it's a boring sport for them.
On the other hand, my whole professional career requires constant improvement and participation in trainings that take time to complete, then master with additional knowledge articles, and then further mastering with experience deploying gained knowledge at work.
I guess my job is secure.

If we'd take the discussion about how it would work _if_ Apple got an "exclusive", it would be the same type of "global" exclusive Google has on the NFL. The US being the "global". There is no way BSkyB will let anyone under or overcut them on F1 in Europe. It is their bread and butter.

Your correct Sky have the exclusive F1 tv rights here in the UK until the end of the 2029 season. So Apple would only get the UK F1 tv rights from 2030 to 2031.
Unless they pay Sky bought out the remaining years for the UK rights. Possible but F1 is very popular in the UK, Sky won't want to now lose F1 after losing the Champions League rights!

So less than two hours and two hours is the cap anyways, unless red flagged.
Perhaps you were thinking of Nascar? Nascar is many hours long, typically 3-4 hours, with the Coca-cola 600 taking over 5 hours - according to google. I don't watch Nascar, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
