So we know everything already. And we know it'll be a boring phone with certainly price increase and it's even worse than s23 for Europeans. Woow fantastic. This year is really a miss for phones and procs
Anonymous, 02 Oct 2023Seriously, is there so little to talk about the new phone that we're having a discussion ... moreGot your point later on.
What a prank. Hahaha
It's not being finicky to me. I don't bother look that way of 0.1mm borders.
It's about confort. Confort and confort and... Confort, in every way. I'm not young, maybe that's why.
yalim, 02 Oct 2023I might go a bit off topic but, bigger the phones, bigger the batteries and better screen on t... moreBecause screen size play. Big role in battery drain
Don't know the proportion of how much screen size percent battery drain, but it's obviously important.
Very simple answer for one time ( I'm a blablabla guy usually...)
Anonymous, 02 Oct 2023Seriously, is there so little to talk about the new phone that we're having a discussion ... moreThe answer is confort.
Important to me
I don't bother look much, a phone is ugly device, basically.
I don't mind glass back, shitabium, alushit... All that makes phones heavier, and more fragile, and people believe it's eco friendly and all that bs. And phone makers make that in purpose so phone break and very expensive to replace, look at replacing glass back on ip.
I am using my phone for hours every day in many inconfortable situations, like commute, shop, at work...
So to me, confort matters a lot, yes. About finicky details like 0.1mm less display borders and colors choice of phone, it's ridiculous to me, sure, but it's what most people pay attention to first, and maybe even more men than women.
25W? realy? S20 - 25W, S21 - 25W, S22 - 25W, S23 - 25W and now S24 - 25W. Nice progress.. :D
Seriously, is there so little to talk about the new phone that we're having a discussion about 1 to 2mm of difference, and how the edges may be sharp?
That's the exciting bits nowadays?
Come on guys, in real life, ladies can't be bothered if it's 16.33cm or 16.23cm, nor if it's 0.2mm thicker at the edges. If the girls find it too big, 1mm of difference won't change anything. It's all the same. Only boys will argue over such minute differences.
I might go a bit off topic but, bigger the phones, bigger the batteries and better screen on times. why doesn't this formula play with tablets? if, s23ultra gives 7-8 hrs screen on time, a 10-11" tablet with +8000mah battery must give 12-13 hrs. just asking.
bormat, 29 Sep 2023Nothing will matter if we in Europe get Exynos in all his gloryTrue. It'd be mad to buy s24 in eu with Exynos.
8gen3 version could be good for battery life. with lpto and little big battery. But I dislike that sharp shitanium design and I smell an overly expensive price.
Spec of the s24 decided me to buy s23 which is on sale in EU.
Exynos, no doubt bad battery life and heat and throttle ( still Samsung 4nm year behind TSMC)
Dislike that design a lot. I already found edge of s23 too sharp.
Also don't like glass back and wireless ( makes phone heavier for nothing); but have to deal with those now .
Then 8gen 3 looks n'or so great improvement, mostly for gamers, even probably some improvements in battery life, not worth for me.
Camera sensors look to be the same. More nits, but, for what ? Seems pretty useless too.
Fragile titanium borders
Really don't see who would buy that at the expensive price they'll certainly ask for it.
I maybe wrong but the more spec are leaking, the more I think it'll be a bad galaxy number.
they should come up with a new design, s23 design sucks
Why samsung discontinue s21 ultra design
Even continue the design in current plus models
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2023That is why samsung should do like apple ( increase resolution as screen goes larger) or just ... moreThose resolutions and PPI are perfectly okay for the display sizes. 4K on a smartphone? For what if not spec battle? Aside increasing cost, 4K on a smartphone display barely achieves anything else significant.
WhoCaresTM, 29 Sep 2023100 ppi on monitor? Great
100 ppi on 4k tv? Great
400 ppi on phone? Eeeewwwwww needs to be 6... moreYou watch tv and moniter from same distance as a smartphone?
Logic

Samsung Should Please Leave The Same Dimension On The S23u ANd Make Battery Life Superb Also I Expect 130hr From 8gen3
Finally 1440p back on the + model, as it should be!
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2023Surprised they've giving the S24 Plus a QHD+ as often the higher res is what pushes some ... moreSo they gonna put Exynos on S24 and S24+ and 8gen3 outside US market. Boosting the plus variants which sales hasn't as good as regulars and ultras while still have something to upsell people for the ultra, voilà.
KacK, 29 Sep 2023Still thinking if it's better to just go for the Note20 UltraBro it's out of update already. If ur fine with that then take it. Still better than some 2023 smartphones
Aszi, 29 Sep 2023S24 is my ideal phone dimension. So true. 6.2" is perfect. S22 and S23 suddenly felt two small next to the S21.
WhatSAComputer, 29 Sep 202379 mm? Is it 19:9???????? That would be cool af let's go back to wider phonesSaw this to, love it 👌🏻
I still hope to see 16/9 ratio aspect one day 😊
