The camera specs have been leaked on a different website and they seem to be quite good!
A mode with manual focus, manual iso, manual shutter speed, high resolution images and surprisingly, even the periscope camera has been improved apparently! The main camera uses the same sensor as previously, but it gets a better f-number: 1.68 instead of 1.85, hopefully the lens is still sharp in the corners and hopefully they fixed some image quality issues.
I have calculated what the leaked specs approximately mean:
Ultra wide angle: 107% more light per time as previously
Main camera: 21% more light per time as previously at 1x and 2x, but theoretically same base iso quality. Also slightly more background blur
Periscope camera: The 7 Pro has an approximately 4% higher focal length, but the 8 Pro has an approximately 20% larger effective lens diameter (that's like having a telescope with a 12cm diameter instead of 10cm diameter), which leads to less diffraction and also 45% more light per time from distant objects, so despite the slightly smaller focal length, the image quality of distant objects could be maybe slightly better, at least when you use Night Sight so that the noise is not too high at 10x, 15x because the slightly smaller focal length makes distant objects slightly noisier at base Iso (theoretically).

I expect better thermal management of the chip and an improved fast charge of at least 45w at least.... and the more capable periscope... leaves a lot to owe on the 7 pro. a lot...

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro to get 7 Years of update (5 OS Update)

So basically, still using same old GN1 1/1.31" sensor which been used since 2019-2020, no upgraded larger and more capable GN2 1/1.12" sensor and no promised Staggered HDR.
At the same time no IMX787 for Ultra-Wide but instead this same old 48MP IMX586 1/2" that been used since 2019 and used as Periscope in Pixel 6 Pro.
With GN2 as main and IMX787 as ultra-wide, P8 Pro could of rivaled iPhone 15 line easily, but as always Google sticking with outdated sensor and not upgrading to anything better for years.. P8 Pro was looking so damn good and promising until now, but oh well...

Those prices in the UK amount to price gouging. £ to $ exchange rate is around 1.23 to 1.25 cents to the pound. The Pixel 8 pro should be at least a couple of hundred pounds cheaper than the $ price!!!
Why is the UK being 'Used' to subsidise the American market?

First I want to see if these prices match up to the last leak from another well informed leakster
Anything for a scoop Roland Quand has just converted Kamila from $ to £.
After the US $ the price would be in € not £ (based on population)
