The tab A9 has some pretty decent looking specs.
Same with the S9 FE minus the SoC. Honestly the Snapdragon 782G would've been a much better and more energy efficient SoC for the S9 FE. But alas, it is what it is.

Still no high-end 8.4 in tablet refresh with OLED and 120Hz.
I guess to them this impacts their "foldable" devices.
The Alldocube has a 1920x1200 8.4 with 8GB of ram with the same SoC and costs just over $100....
What is Samsung doing here.....

G99? Finally Samsung being good for once.
800p screen? Well that's bad but at least it's a notice that 8" tablet market is not dead (yet), this will be a good replacement for some low-end 8" tablet like Tab A7 Lite or Realme Pad Mini. Otherwise if you have a bigger budget just go for iPad Mini or Lenovo Legion Y700 (no matter which version, both are great).

Actually, smaller than A7 lite since A7 lite have a pixel density of 180ppi and this A9 is listed as 280ppi with same resolution.

Looks like A9 will have 8" screen. A replacement to A7 lite.

I don't like the fact that it has 6gb of ram as base on s9 fe
I don't mind the chip i just use nomad sketch, krita and occasionally godot editor 4, maybe i'll consider lumafusion for editing reasons

It boggles me that Samsung thinks they can put out an 800p tablet in 2023. On a phone, 800p looks fine. But a for a tablet it's gonna look horrible. Tab S9 FE looks somewhat decent though.

But again Apple have proven that their retina display standard is still sharper even without 1080p
However this A9 TAB is not even a premium midrange devices. It just basic midrange with 4gb ram, so I guess it's ok to have an average display and I believes the price will be below $350.
