This trend by OEMs of "cancelling" the uSD slots is IMHO nothing less than corporate diktat, and 1st-World Privilege at ts very best (or worst depending on your stance) !!
Foregoing the ease of expanding the user's storage (and of moving data much faster than via the crawling-slow USB connector) without ever offering a viable alternative, and for what ?? Going one tiny notch higher on the IP scale to boast that your newest sh1t now can withstand a few droplets of water from your showerhead, yet STILL cannot survive a fall from your pant-pocket and a quick dunk into a toilet bowl (a pretty credible real-life scenario, happened to my aunt while she was rushing to ease a pressing call) ? Talk about some effing rip-off !! :@

"Well you don't need SD cards they are too slow and base storage is plentiful" That's gotta be first world privilege if I've ever seen it. Sure, go buy a cloud subscription so it's an utter hassle to move stuff and take up all the internal storage so your phone can be thrown away in 2 years. Instead of, you know, just popping the tray, but who cares big manufacturers have convinced idiots to move away from microsd anyways

With esim, I wish micro SD cards came back, I doubt it, but one can only dream.

My infinix note 30 uses 1 tray for both dual sim and micro sd card.No need for supersim

Even now you can buy micro sd with speeds up to 300 mb/s. It's called UHS-II, but there is no phones with UHS-II support, only cameras have this support. And for bluetooth battery drain - I don't think so. Earbuds with tiny 50 mah battery work 5-7 hours. So Bluetooth Low Energy is really low energy.

either buy phone with sd slot and low-end soc OR high-end soc without sd slot.
don't get me wrong, but i wish to see all $300+ phone with both sd slot and audio jack again.
