Well i just hope they goin to fix the instant shoot with no hit and miss. They camera is already the best but not the camera software. Going to see how 1 vi camera perform next year, before i decide whether s24 ultra or sony 1 vi

Despite all their flaws i still like them. It's actually very said because the same way you say why have others not tried to fight the "niche" Sony has not tried to be the mobile leaders they can and should be.
But the facts still stand that for years they have had more draw backs and worse pricing. And the pages of their fans are some of the worst out there.

Still, I'm going to expect when someone here is going to be cornered and buys a Xperia just because they like it over the other brands. My next phone will be a Sony Xperia (1 series), that's for sure. It's like when some people judge those who purchase Mercedes-AMG One over Aston Martin Valkyrie V12 because some say Valkyrie did better on F1-inspired hypercars, when AMG One has its own merits over Valkyrie V12 that not even Valkyrie has.

By being weaker in the 5g connectivity in testing and the di... moreSure, there are some weaknesses of the Xperia Pro (2020), but why then did other brands that have more powerful resources and management over Sony, like Samsung, BBK, or Xiaomi, don't bother to knock on the Xperia Pro's super-niche market of live broadcasting and vlogging, especially since they can do it with ease? They had those massive advantages over the Xperia Pro, but yet there are no competitions in this segment, even after 2 years since the Xperia Pro started selling. This implies that Sony has the whole cake for themselves and can enjoy it without getting bothered. Because no one has tried to knock on the Sony niche market since 2020, as the others focus on the mainstream market audience that is fiercer than the food industry, while Sony or very few brands, like Fairphone, focus on niches. Just like the headphone jack, MicroSDXC slot, or even shutter button, Sony did the absolute ridiculous with the Xperia Pro (also flawed, of course). And the Xperia Pro itself may already have been sold to the enterprise that needed it, and the successor may be on the line in 2024.

But that's why people have issues with Sony here. The absurd fans that are even worse than iPhone fans used to be. That and most of it is not hate. They over priced way more than anyone else while providing less and having more software and hardest failures on top of it. Now it's not as much hardware failures luckily but the rest still holds up.

The users of this site hate Sony the most, with a burning passion, from all the brands available here. Not even LG had that amount as Sony did. Even when there's an article that doesn't even mention Sony a little bit, they will scapegoat Sony at all costs. I mean, I do even assume some users here are also the reason why Sony had to change the Xperia design language back in 2018 from boxy to curvy; that design language was hated by many Sony fans. Sure, Sony isn't perfect, but at least I found my comfort brand to use. Hate me all you want; I did what I could. I owned 8 Sony phones for 12 years consecutively, from Live with Walkman to 1 II, so what I did here was based on my experiences. End of story
