Where is gurilla glass?
Useless with this crappy dimensity... I would prefer snap 480/695 by a lot

"Segment's first 50MP OIS camera" umm no? There's lots of OIS cameras in the mid-range class and some 50MP too. And then "segment's most powerful chipset (D7020)" as if the SD695, the Exynos 1280/1330 and the Dimensity 900 weren't faster.
But I just saw it does have an ultrawide camera, though an 8MP one so it's probably not great
taylorswift13, 02 Sep 2023Redmi 12 has G88The original comment was most likely talking about Redmi 12 5G considering the price they mentioned.
niko, 02 Sep 2023the 7020 is the same as the 930..and the 930 is belos the sd 695 (thanks to that strange img gpu)No? 695 is on par with 810/6050, I don't understand wdym.
Edit: Yeah just noticed 930 it's using some IMG instead of Mali. I thought 930 is better since 900 is better than 695 lol.
Nscurre, 02 Sep 2023My Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was my first ever experience with One UI. I'm not sure what's ... moreIt has oneUI. That is why it is slower.
Too much samsung garbage stuff runs background.
Heavy animations ( somethings android should not have)
Estimated price will be how much?
reminder that the GPU in the 7020 is weaker than the Adreno 619
why does mediatek love randomly putting crappy powervr gpus into otherwise decent chipsets?
Stop buying this crap. 1 single delayed update and then that’s it. Within 2 years it would be outdated phone.
taylorswift13, 02 Sep 2023It is. The 7020 is a rebadged 930 which has a suspicious IMG GPU from PowerVR (the GPU brand s... moreOh you mean the GPU brand Apple used until they switched to their own GPUs with the A11? Yeah those really must be bad when they powered the best SoCs on the market like the Apple A9.
Nscurre, 02 Sep 2023My Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was my first ever experience with One UI. I'm not sure what's ... moreYea their recent phones are better I guess. I had one of their earliest tablets called Galaxy Tab 2 and it was one of the very few tablets with 3G connectivity and calling functions. Haven't bought any other tab since, they all seem to be so underpowered and lack LTE which makes them mostly unsuitable for my use
taylorswift13, 02 Sep 2023I doubt it'll have an ultrawide camera and you say it'll also have autofocus. The G8... moreApparently it got removed but this very post says it.
Also look at Motorolas website and specification of the G84, it does have an Ultrawide with macro functions = AF.
Only one OS update is really a downside considering Android 14 is just days away and this phone launches with Android 13 and offer only one update

I'm not sure what's wrong with this device, but it is SLOOOOW. I've had phones with very similar chipsets and they were much faster than this tablet. And also, there are so many freaking apps, there are like 5 Samsung apps I don't use that I can't even uninstall, and also the Galaxy Store has like another 12 system apps/utilities that require updating.
Now, take my experience with a grain of salt, because I did buy a somewhat old midrange device. You'd probably have a nicer experience if you were to buy a modern Samsung phone.
Nscurre, 02 Sep 2023The lack of software support is what hurts a little bit, however I have to agree that you real... moreYes, their phones generally have consistent performance. I still use a moto and it's maybe my 4th or 5th so far. Thinking about buying a G series phone but also would like to try One UI for a change. Either moto or samsung
Anonymous, 02 Sep 20234 gen 2 is way ahead of dimensity 7020. Redmi 12 has G88
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2023Whole g series has ufs2.2. Same UI. That's not what I'm talking about, don't use Antutu to compare chipsets, use it to compare phones.
