Very common spin by the reviewers: Talk and talk about two phones from the same manufacturer.

Err... did I forget to mention it will have a tightening mecanism, using internal 'on-wrist' cushioning instead of the normal? I'll be following the helmet manufacturing rule- create one big size, apply cushioning internally to make it smaller to fit... That's it.
Ok.. and did I mention it will have a pneumatic straightening that would rely on compressed air, totally non electric?
And did I mention the outer frame of the display would be bendable Grade 5 plastic?
And I surely didn't mention the camera would be a singular, bendable one which will sneak from underneath the display body... only 180* bendability is needed for both selfie and rear. The phone would be required to be unlocked to use the camera, doing in on wrist won't be possible. Multiple battery modules would be needed, which would be great for faster charging, without battery depreciation too.
Obviously, we can only say so much in text, so laugh reacts were expected.
When you're a 37 something guy, you start forgetting stuff, but there's one thing I can assure you:- a man has reached the moon decades ago, and nothing is impossible. Question is, is it useful? My answer is affirmative.

You're right, foldables are yet to be completely exploited. We've yet to see midrange foldables which come in budget, then lower midrange is left too, even though a lower mid range foldable seems less plausible.

If one absolutely has to have a Samsung, the S23 Ultra is their much better choice, otherwise there are many other phones to choose from. The S23 Ultra btw is now cheaper than the Z Flip 5.
"The Pixel 8 Pro will cost €1,250 with 128GB storage and a horribly outdated Google chip. "
You are aware that the Tensor chipset line is also made by Samsung, right?

The Pixel 8 Pro will cost €1,250 with 128GB storage and a horribly outdated Google chip. I'd say, the price comparison is failing hard in the real world. Add to that, Samsung's own OLED panels are brighter and more efficient than the ones Google buy for their devices.
So, you get a better phone, that also folds, for less money. What was it we were comparing again? The Flip5 is a no-brainer choice.

Also you'd think a company the size of oppo/bbk would have less issues with this stuff. Oneplus is owned by them and they don't have this issue.
Seems depend on who interest in flip or bar, for me I still prefer bar. Just take out and ready to use main screen. Flip seems cool by its compact form, but sometimes need 2 jobs just to see screen.

Oh, folding your clamshell foldable phone doesn't save you any space in your pocket, by the way - In fact, if you're wearing skinny jeans you will have MORE trouble putting your phone back into the pocket because its thickness is being doubled.

Oppo find X6 Pro... Sorry Oppo but i stay with it.. Flip sounds great idea but still im more interesting for the "bar"
You forgot to make a category about gaming! 😭 I think it’s very important for many people and no one wants to accidentally close the phone because of a complicated gaming maneuver. Please think about gaming too, next time.

Even if there would be sudden breakthrough of such devices, most major companies would keep it intentionally in r&d for a long while because there's too much money invested in foldables. But we can dream.

And I dont mean smartwatch, I mean an entire phone with a 6 inch (foldable/ flexible) display that wraps around your wrist, and goes absolute flat screen on unlocking it, through bezel mechanisms.
What do you guys think about my idea?"
A wristband type flexible spartphone isn't going to work as everyone has different size wrists. It's not like a watch which is easily adjustable using a strap with holes for all different sized wrists. Or a bracelet where you can easily remove a link/links to fit perfectly if it is too big.
Plus once you take a flexible wristband smartphone off your wrist there would be no way to turn it into a rigid bar smartphone. As it would need to have completely 360 degrees round bezels to fit on your wrist. You can't exactly turn fully circular bezels metal or plastic etc into straight rigid bar smartphone bezels. It would simply break stap like bending a twig!
Also where exactly do you think the rear camera modules and battery would go..... Camera sensors take up a lot of thickness. And there isn't a flexible battery technology yet. Anyway most people would rather just use a current bar style smartphone. Eye lenses/glasses smartphones, flexible smartphones are all just gimmicks! Pretty cool but still gimmicks impractical compared to simple to use bar smartphones.

Companies are just too lazy to do something else than copying.
