You phrased your belief like it's a fact with hope of it getting to people who are too lazy to think critically and, therefore, susceptible to being misled, which, unfortunately for you, I'm not one of.

No, I even said I accept what you say, but that's simply not the way to say it. You didn't have to sugarcoat anything, had you said I'm terrible at it, I wouldn't have even mentioned it.
""but so did you, right?"
Wrong! I didn't make the claim here. "
What I meant is that you knew I wasn't gonna be able to substantiate what I said, I mean I did know it. It's impossible to prove that my phones don't have bugs, as they might have some that I hasn't noticed, and I probably never will, given that my daily usage is always the same. Not to mention that to prove it I would basically have to daily every phone of mine for a day and film said day and even then some bugs that might exist may not show up on the day I'd film it. The whole thing would be weird anyways.

That's the problem, things don't just get more complex on Samsung phones, and bugs still aren't extremely apparent on my new phones that are from this year and last year, as I hasn't noticed any, even though I'm a heavy user, usually end my days with about 6 hours of SoT.
"..in fact, Flip5 users I know didn't notice anything amiss before this update.."
So, then was this update important? No, I don't think so. The mentality behind being the best at software updates and that being a selling point for Samsung phones, over better hardware from almost any other brand, is what I really don't like about the current Samsung.
What happened to the likes of J series with aluminium sides and back? They were built like flagships and were extremely durable. The current A series is horrible, nothing but generic outsourced phones, built like whatever.. amazing that the A54 is glass, bringing back that material to the A series, which they already had on the Galaxy A5 2016/2017 with aluminium sides and IP68 water resistance on the later model, instead of IP67 and a plastic frame.
In my opinion, Samsung is going backwards, except for their foldables.

However I found the perfect for myself, so I think it is possible to make perfect phones. Of course a phone perfect for me, won't necessarily be perfect for someone else, but I'd say, there has to be a perfect phone for everyone.

Unlike you, best I'd ask for is a near-bug-free one.

Wrong! I didn't make the claim here. You did. A bold one at that. And no, we didn't disagree on an opinion, I simply asked you to substantiate your claim. You definitely didn't phrase what you said as an opinion; you phrased it as a fact whereas it wasn't one. Any claim I make here, I can substantiate and that's because I don't hastily make claims. I think them through.
"There are ways to go about things, I do accept your opinion, but saying that someone "sucks" at anything is just not the way to do it, especially because I wasn't rude."
Sorry man, I suck at sugarcoating things. I prefer saying things as they are, and I understand that we live in a world where a lot of people tag any personal assessment that doesn't glorify them as" rude" regardless of whether or not there's a good basis for the assessment. Most don't want to hear the truth unless it's sweet. Me? I'm not an ice cream seller. I like cake sans icing.

Not to mention Android 7 that it had and if I remember correctly that was the height of the Samsung bloat that's worse than what they have now. And just because you don't know about bugs doesn't mean they don't exist. They are just becoming more apparent as things get more complex (and as things get more reported... in fact, Flip5 users I know didn't notice anything amiss before this update). People shouldn't underestimate the complexity of a whole system, and even then, in writing software, the goal is not to have a bugless code at the end. So no, Samsung can't just "test their products well enough before releasing it, so it won't have any bugs". Not only is it not the goal, it's impossible.

Of course I knew, but so did you, right? Look, this isn't the courtroom, I'm stating things that I experience and things that I believe in.. you don't have to believe it, nobody HAS TO believe it, it's enough for me if I can reach out to at least a couple of people. I really, really don't like what Samsung is currently doing and where they are heading and I only dislike it because I used to love Samsung and couldn't think of another brand that I could switch to when I had my S8. Obviusly I don't mean their foldables, that's amazing technology, technically they weren't the first ones to do it, that would be Royole, with their FlexPai, but Samsung was the first one to do it right with the Z Fold 2. Now, I would rather choose the vivo X Fold+ over any other foldable currently on the market, but that doesn't change the fact that Samsung did something big when it comes to foldables. It also doesn't change the fact that I dislike their OS, their design, them not including the charger, them not going above 25/45W in terms of charging speeds, and things like that.
"Saying that you aren't big on analytical thinking was I saying it as it seems, from what you have shown here."
There are ways to go about things, I do accept your opinion, but saying that someone "sucks" at anything is just not the way to do it, especially because I wasn't rude, or anything, we just simply disagree on a topic, which is fine! There was no need resorting to speech like that..

Saying that you aren't big on analytical thinking was I saying it as it seems, from what you have shown here. But I understand why you felt insulted by it.

Samsung has a handful of people working for them, they could easily test their devices until they have no bugs and only release it after that and then just give security and OS updates, no need for bug fixes anymore. Why wouldn't that be possible?
Cyberchum, 04 Sep 2023It means that, according to you, just that you couldn't prove it even if your life depend... more"Your experience is nothing but subjective.."
Yes, but it doesn't make it a lie.
"I'm very sure that there are multiple bug reports about multiple infinix models on the Internet, and that's despite infinix"
I'm pretty sure about that too. I never said that no phones at all have bugs, but Samsung phones have many, that's not the case.
I said I PERSONALLY never had any bugs on my phones, not even Samsung phones. My Samsung's did get updates and that's exactly what ruined my experience with them, but I'll explain that in another comment that's waiting approval.
"But even if all your infinix phones have zero issues, that's still just you. And that's also just infinix.."
No, it's not just Infinix, that was just my example as they are known to be one of the worst companies when it comes to giving updates and I actually like that. Never had issues on my Tecno, vivo, Sony, Blackberry and Motorola phones.
However I actually do remember one of my phones that would really need an update, my OnePlus 7T Pro, sometimes it just doesn't want to open the camera, or it opens it, but it's just blank and other times it works just fine. See I could be obviusly be wrong as well, good thing you made me remember it. Altough to be fair this might be a physical issue with my specific unit and not a software one, still not ideal.
"You suck at analytical thinking, really!"
Can't prove me wrong, start insulting me.. Nice, very nice. You did actually prove me wrong in the end, see you didn't need that little bit of insult.
DarlingYext, 04 Sep 2023"..having the most amount of bug fixes, in any case, wouldn't outrightly mean having... moreIt means that, according to you, just that you couldn't prove it even if your life depended on it. Lol
Your experience is nothing but subjective; I'm very sure that there are multiple bug reports about multiple infinix models on the Internet, and that's despite infinix selling significantly lower number of phones than Samsung.
But even if all your infinix phones have zero issues, that's still just you. And that's also just infinix; I'm very sure that there are multiple other phone manufacturers out there making phones, too.
You suck at analytical thinking, really!
Cyberchum, 04 Sep 2023Then, I definitely agree with the commenters conclusion. Cool, then that's the difference between the 2 (3) of us. I don't just go and call people liars without proof, and you do. That's just kinda sad, I expected more from you, but you do whatever you want and same with me.
In the end I simply don't like and don't trust Samsung phones (and the OS on it) and their chipsets anymore, yes just these things, everything else they make is pretty much the best out there I think, like their displays.
I've been a Samsung fan, before the One UI days, I loved Samsung Experience UI, but after having used One UI, I just can't go back to using their phones let alone installing 1-2 updates every month and trusting them. Sure I could just ignore the update, but I'd hate to have that notification be stuck. My Galaxy S8 for example was a really fast phone running Samsung Experience UI, but after updating it to One UI it became significantly slower, the battery life became worse too, and the whole UI was and is just ugly in my opinion.
Yeah, sure updates can indeed help a product, but they can also make said thing worse, sometimes significantly worse and sometimes even unusable. I'd much rather buy a finished product with a good software that needs no updates and thus won't get any.
If one phone is a great experience to use straight out of the box, then it simply doesn't need updates as they might just make it worse.
greenarcher02, 04 Sep 2023Even the Nokia 3210 had bugs so I'd chalk that "never" to an outright lie. lol.Well, I have never used that phone, so how would I have any experience with it's bugs? The 30+ that I have, never needed bug fixes and that includes older Samsung phones too. For example my Galaxy S8. They weren't always like this.
