People who are play games will understand wy this proccesor have this performance. Phones are not just for scolling on Google and GsmArena. Actualy you can play PC games on phones and you need power for these. If you not play games, yea...865 its good enought capable for every task. But i have Xiaomi MI 10t pro and i can say i cant play every game and sometime becomes a litlle bit hot.

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2023Lol u dreaming Probably not when the a16 is quite easily beaten by the one in the 8g2 (about 3.5 teraflops of fp32 single precision performance which is generally the metric for gaming performance, ps4 pro is 4 teraflops, a16 is 2 teraflops which is behind all current android SoCs).
At the moment qualcomm does have the all round better SoC and apple is kind of over exaggerated with its performance (like saying the a12 still beats the 8g2 stuff). Also im not sure if apple sillicon can do real time ray tracing and nicities like that.
A17 will be probably be around/slightly more than 8g2 but with better single core performance, maybe better read and write speeds for storage. Generally they have a gen behind modem (qualcomm one) slower ram too. The 8g2, 8g3, a16 and a17 all very very good chips to be honest.

blalba, 26 Aug 2023my s23 ultra does 2050 single and 5430 multi.... what's so massive about this ?Well the x4 core will be more efficient and throttle less at higher frequencies, has more a720 cores so should be more fluid transitioning between apps/using apps plus the 2 smaller cores will be more power efficient vs 4 cores. I mean the s23U in real life, doesnt perform any better than the standard 8g2.
Benchmarks are just a baseline for roughly how well a SoC will perform even though most companies (including samsung and pixels) push the SoCs harder for benchmark results.
